"My friends and I went here for a late lunch. We arrived a little after 2. Patsy order the ribeye, fried okra, mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed corn, and a side of tomatoes and red onions. She said the ribeye was cooked perfectly and practically melted in her mouth. It had nice grill marks on it. I will try it next time. Shirley had the tilapia, rice, squash casserole, hush puppies, and banana pudding. The tilapia was grilled and it was a large piece. It broke apart easily. She said everything was good. I had the 12 gulf shrimp grilled, squash casserole, cole slaw, and hush puppies. The shrimp were perfect, the cole slaw wasn't great, and the hush puppies were heavy and felt doughy in my mouth. I didn't eat them. So for the most part, the food is worth the money."
"This is a wonderful place to dine. The staff was friendly and our order was placed in a timely manner. We were served a basket of cornbread after we sat down. The cornbread was delicious. Food was hot and very good. I definitely recommend you visit the Blue Plate if you're in the area."
