"They always have the best selection of vintage clothes and jewelry."

"I bought a bakelite bracelet and earrings that I thought were bakelite. I thought they were bakelite because they were very sneakily housed with all the bakelite, bakelite earrings and bracelets. They look like bakelite but I quickly realized once I got home that they were glass. I was very disappointed and feel deceived. Also the lady hangs over you while you're shopping and looking making it very hard to decide what you want with her in your face. I know they're trying to guard against shoplifting but once they saw I was buying something I feel like she should've given me a little space to look and decide at my leasure. If she wouldn't have been hanging over me I would've felt comfortable enough to do my little bakelite tests. But I didn't feel comfortable enough to give much inspection with her looming over me like that. Those earrings should not have been with the bakelite stuff."

"I came into this store a month ago to browse. I tried on a metal skeleton-shaped bracelet, but decided not to purchase it because it was way overpriced. I made it known to the proprieteress/manager that I was not going to take the item. I then left the store. A few moments later, the person I was with went to the counter to pay for his items. The proprieteress/manager told him that I wanted the bracelet, and attempted to get him to pay for it. When he said, "If she had wanted it, she would have paid for it", she protested, and said, "It would have been nice if she had told me she didn't want it" (although her grammar probably wasn't as correct as this). This was of course an outright lie, and I am deeply unimpressed with her attempt to con customers into paying for items they do not want. Unethical business practices like this ought to be exposed for what they are. Not to mention, if she had not overpriced her items, she might have had a better chance of making a sale. I shop at vintage stores regularly, and I know an overpriced item when I see one. Last weekend, I walked into this store and asked for her business card. I then told her that I would be sure to leave a poor review. She cares so much about customer satisfaction, apparently, that she did not bother to answer a single word, let alone ask why a customer was dissatisfied. If she does not care whether she makes a profit, she doesn't deserve to make it."

"This is a great little vintage clothing shop! I've been here twice with my daughter to find period costumes for her and have been very successful both times. All I had to do is walk in and explain what we were looking for and Annie did almost the rest. She knows her stuff!"

"Wonderful thrift shop with Broadway tunes playing overhead. I picked up some double wide sundae dishes for my airplants and the owner shared a charming story of how he and his wife got married in the Depot behind, hanging their favorite quilts to decorate the station. There were some stoneware pieces I hadn't seen elsewhere and appreciated he carried them. It's a lovely addition to the quaint Depot district of Ypsilanti."
