"There's a marker and a large boulder with a couple benches to sit down on the site of the old Fort.Just a few yards across the street is the burial site of a French priest.About a month ago there were canoe rides and people dressed up in frontier clothing with booths along the St Joseph River."

"If you want to see the local erratic (next step up larger stone than a boulder and/or a rock so large it's out of it's place), then this is the place for you. Also a significant historical marker. Or if you don't like any of those, it's just a really big rock."

"We attended the archaeological open house for the second year this year, and were very happy to return. It's a nice peek into the area's history, and seeing the students so excited about their work is infectious. They definitely welcome people of all ages, and everyone seems very happy to be able to share their passion with others."

"While there isn't really anything left from the 1691 fort, there is a lot of cool stuff to see here if you're in the area. As a historian, I'd recommend doing a little research before visiting the site because you're going to get a lot more out of it. The fort itself was of great importance until it passed into American hands and was abandoned. Still, a great place for a walk and to do some learning."
