"Build Green is an amazing place if you're looking for clear, non-Internet advice on how to do zero-VOC upgrades to your house. When we were installing hardwood flooring, we went with Rubio Monocoat, and it was helpful to see all the stain colors displayed at the store. In addition, the underlayment that the installed was going to use was asphalt, which would off-gas VOCs and Build Green recommended a silicone vapor barrier instead. Our interior paint was using a zero-VOC paint (AFM safecoat) and now we can confidently touch-up paint anywhere in our house without worrying about waiting for a good day to open windows and air things out."
