Waterfront Park

Waterfront Park, located at 391 South William Street in Ludington, Michigan, is a popular tourist attraction and park that has been a focal point in the city since its unveiling in 1999. Nestled between two marinas with a view of the carferry dock, the park offers a picturesque backdrop for visitors looking to capture the perfect photo.

Families love spending time at Waterfront Park, with kids entertained at the expansive playground while parents relax on benches and watch the S.S. Badger Carferry sail into port. Picnic tables, scenic pathways, and nine bronzed sculptures add to the park's charm, while night lighting, restrooms, and an amphitheater for summer concerts cater to visitors of all ages.

Annual events like LudRock and the Rhythm & Dunes Concert Series sponsored by West Shore Bank take place at Waterfront Park, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. The park is surrounded by condominiums offering spectacular views of the park, harbor, and downtown area, with shops and restaurants within walking distance.

For a peaceful retreat by the water, Waterfront Park is the perfect destination to relax and enjoy the beauty of lakeside living. "A great playground for kids young and old(er). Multiple play areas with lots of slides and swings. We were visiting for the New Year's Eve event and needed something to do in the morning. This park entertained our kids for well over an hour and we only left because it got cold. The only unfortunate part was the lack of trash cans close to the playground. There were some around the walking sidewalks, but the picnic tables around the playground all had trash around them because people didn't want to walk the distance to the trash cans."

"My daughter and I visited the park to see the sculptures and had the best time. It was such a beautiful day with a slight breeze. The sculptures were an absolute treasure. It was great getting to know so much about the history of not only Ludington, but our great state of Michigan."

"A big park for a town with a lot of artwork, sculptures, and educational plates. Picknick tables are in shade, and restrooms with running water are close to a big playground. You can reserve the park for events!!!"

"This is a great place. The park is medium size but with something for everyone. It's nestled in between two marinas, the municipal marina and the Harbor View marina, with Pere Marquette Lake waterfront and lovely views in all directions. Many sculptures are scattered around in the park. There's a large playground for kiddos. Lots of benches and tables can be found all around. There's even a gazebo with five tables underneath. Restrooms and an amphitheater is available as well. Edit: Added pictures, Oct 2022."
