"This once was a great hardware store when owned by Grundy. People that went out of their way to be helpful. Now it is staffed by people who do not know the products or the business. You are much better off going to Howell Hardware-better help and better knowledge. When I recently went to exchange an Ace brand wrench, utilizing the lifetime guarantee on Ace hand tools, the staff scoffed at the idea that this guarantee even existed. When I asked them to go online and see that it did, I was told that could not determine if it applied to my purchase, and further, they did not have the tool. I asked them to contact Ace, which they did not do, and simply became rude and asked me for a receipt on a tool I bought 15 years ago. Thoroughly disgusted at this experience, I contacted Ace corporate, who, in fact, ended up confirming that this guarantee does exist and does not require a proof of purchase. Ace corporate also contacted this specific store, who has not bothered to contact me, despite Ace corporate's assurance that they would. Byrum owns a number of Ace stores in this area, and prove that bigger generally results in worse service."

I love my local Ace Hardware, so i decided to stop in here. even though they didn't have what I was looking for, I was directed to a different store (competition) to find what I needed.
