"DO NOT USE THEM! Similar experience overall as all the other poor reviews. We were not given all the information on the dryer and because of that we were not able to make a fully informed decision on whether to go forward fixing the dryer or buying a new one. One of the technicians that came out initially clearly did not want to be there and when I mentioned this to the supervisor who came out a few days later, he informed me it was not the first time this particular employee had complaints. So here were are $500 in and find out they actually didn't fix it completely. So because we didn't have the full information we allowed them to "fix" what they told us the problem was. Well it wasn't actually fixed. If we had been given all the information we would have trashed the dryer and bought a new one before having them "fix anything" because in the end it would have made more sense to buy a new one then have them fix everything. Even their supervisor who came to check why it wasn't working after the initial technicians came out agreed what transpired was not ok and agreed we should be refunded part of the cost. The manager; however, told us no we would not be refunded any money and essentially defended his employee and took his employees word; granted this is the employee who has had multiple complaints, and that we were getting a good deal and others would have charged us more, and the supervisor should not have told us to expect a partial refund, etc. The supervisor ensured us they were not a company who would essentially do their customers wrong. Well, apparently the manager doesn't see things that way. And while they offered to do the actual fix for free (minus the cost of the parts which were $90 or have us purchase the parts and they would install), why would I trust a company who's employee didn't give us all the information and didn't do a thorough job to begin with, and we would have had to have them come back a third time with no guarantee they were actually going to fix it this time. And clearly they do not care about unsatisfied customers with legitimate complaints/concerns as they don't respond to these poor reviews."
"I would not use them again for Carrier furnace error codes, as they did not find a reasonable solution for me. The furnace started to trip code 33 and eventually would trip code 13, resulting in no heat. At the end I can only give 0-1 stars and this is why. 1. I had an open mind and hoped for 5 star service since they were able to come within 24 hrs with a friendly technician and highly rating on google, that was the only 5 star moment and it is only high point of my experience with them. 2. Their service call fee is higher than others so that would only be 4 stars if they had fixed my problem. 3. Tech gave a No Root Cause Found after about an hour of poking and a promise to come out for free if in 2 weeks if problem consisted. I knock a star for not find the problem. 4. Problem unfortunately did not go away, he did come as promised. But after 4 hours of poking (figurative and literally putting holes and plugging them to check for gas combustion, air flow, etc.) and no immediate solution. Only to tell me at the end to get an estimate for more duct work... They lost another star for this. 5. Sales guy did call twice to schedule a duct work estimation. I did talk to someone on the phone and schedule a time and day. Few hours later he called back and left voicemail asking if I wanted to schedule an appointment. This was a red flag. He never showed up. terrible customer service and no stars from me. Normally I use the red van HVAC people they are like "#Family", however they do not typically have 24 hr service call, but they are a little cheaper. They are also a Carrier HVAC dealer. Go find them in Garden City. They came out did more poking and did some things in the Service Bulletin from Carrier in the furnace and solved my problem. Back to Colonial H&C wanting to improving my air flow with duct work. Yes I could use better design duct work but it has worked for the last 10 ten years with the same air ducts, when only the furnace was replaced. Why should I replace that now after 10 years? So no I will not be replacing the duct work, as there are other things the affected the temperature sensor and air flow inside the furnace, they were not able to solve it."

She worked diligently to try to expedite an appointment time for me to have my furnace promptly repaired. I was very satisfied with the service & quality of repair. I had no heat because of a malfunctioning furnace, and she got someone here to service my furnace very quickly…just before the frigid wintry weather arrived. I am so thankful for the heat during this challenging time. Thank you, Sarah, for being the wonderful, kind, caring person that you are!"
