"When I was 7, I had a tooth extraction where the anesthesia wasn’t calculated right and I felt everything. Despite diligent oral care through my life I would still have a few cavities - these were also done not so well, and would later have to be redone. It’s no surprise then that I developed a dentist aversion. After avoiding the dentist for two years, my husband finally badgered my into making an appointment with his new dentist. I begrudgingly made an appointment. From the get-go, I felt welcome. The reception desk was kind and warm. The hygienist was understanding of my hesitancy, and made sure I felt comfortable. Dr. Vruggink was also accommodating of the fact that I’m a big baby, and I felt at ease. I would need some dental work, and Vruggink made sure I knew my options and could make an informed decision. The actual procedure was the least uncomfortable procedure I’ve ever had done. Not only that, but I cannot tell that it has been done. The works blends seamlessly with my teeth, which hasn’t always been the case. Dr Vruggink’s office actually made my schedule my next appointment without thinking in the back of my mind that I would cancel it. I promise I will be back in six months!"
