"We are new to the area. We found this dentist though our insurance network. They told my husband our 8 year old needed 4 crowns and 4 cavities filled. Because we moved we were a few months past his 6 month check up and he does have cavity prone teeth. The X-rays were blurry but they reassured us that sometimes kids just get cavities easily and that some of the decay was so bad he needed the crowns despite the teeth being baby teeth. I decided to get a second opinion with his old dentist in the lansing area. He went yesterday and sure enough, the crowns are not needed, nor the fillings. He has a couple of surface cavities that they put a sealant-type of treatment on and that’s that. So disappointed with this dentist office and feel extremely sad that they would try to put a child through the pain and stress 4 un-needed crowns."
