"This is OUR FAVORITE sushi and ramen spot! We drive almost an hour just to have date nights here! The atmosphere and food are FIRE! And the service is spot on. Highly recommend."
"Their ramen egg is FA-BU-LOUS! Perfect jammy yolk and sweetness/saltiness! Texture is on-point. Their RAMEN IS RICH! Like stomach-hurtingly rich but so dang good! Noodles are on fleek for it. Rolls are also on point; not overfilled with rice (thank goodness). Takoyaki was also on point! but also, GET THEIR FRIED RICE (any of them - we did kimchi fried rice & bulgogi fried rice, two different times) and OMFG THE FRIED RICE IS ALSO ON POINT! none of that, overly oiled and oxidized flavor! Agedashi tofu could be a bit different; tastes more like Hayako tofu (without the full flavor) so kinda meh~ They don't do chili oil or chili sauce (except sriracha) b/c, as server shared, owner doesn't want it to be traditional-like."
"Wow, I am blown away. My favorite Kalamazoo restaurant now. The menu has a lot of great stuff on it. I got sushi and a bowl of fried rice and it was awesome. The space is well done and comfy! I am so glad they are open Monday’s too!"
"Beautiful, dark, not too moody atmosphere. Very welcoming of loud slurps & satisfied hums due to the delicious food. Every server & chef greets you when you walk in, and they all chime one after the other to say “thank you” when you walk out. I ordered takoyaki & Toba ramen. 8/10 for the takoyaki, because it was still pretty fresh so the filling was *just a hair* too mushy for me, but that’s my own fault for being too excited to finally have takoyaki in Kzoo (next closest is in Grand Rapids at Sapporo). 9/10 for the ramen, only docked a point because while the chicken was PHENOMENAL, I do wish I had pork belly because it’s a different flavour."
