Four Points by Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport

"Stayed overnight with a Delta voucher in room 202. Nice and quiet. Cotton sheets. Bathtub which I prefer. No breakfast available at this hotel so it loses a star as even a bed and breakfast offers breakfast. In room free coffee and water bottle. But had to reduce the stars again for a mosquito flying around, insects crawling on the wall to the left of the window and dirty vent. Also reduced a star for an unkempt homeless man who walked into the hotel lobby, helped himself to coffee and then proceeded to sleep stretched out on the lobby sofa. Made me feel very unsafe as a solo female traveller and the hotel receptionist just ignored him. No sign of security officers."

"Old and in disrepair. Smells funny inside and floors have stains. Shower had a slow drain and the latch wouldn’t fully switch into shower mode. Sink faucet was too tight to turn on easily, rotated at its base when it shouldn’t have, and leaked from the base onto the counter and floor. Several outlets didn’t work. Hotel restaurant was closed - wasn’t clear if it was for the night or long-term. All the lights inside the room had daylight-balanced bulbs. Would not recommend unless you’re desperate for a room near the airport. The airport shuttles are fast, at least."

"Service sets this hotel apart. I've stayed at hundreds of hotels as a business traveler, and this Four Points checks all the boxes for cleanliness, location, and convenience that you would hope for. I received a pleasant and fast check-in experience near midnight, and same on the way out at 4:00 AM. However, I left my watch in the room after only a few hours of sleep. I was concerned, having left many items in hotels over the years that were never to be seen again, but the staff promptly located my watch and sent it back to me out of state. They used my card on file and refused to accept any gratuity - all I had to do was wait by the mailbox. I will be staying here every time my travel involves the Detroit airport."

"I was comped here by Delta when weather conditions caused me to miss a connection. I called from the airport and spoke with Monica to ask about transportation. I also met her at check-in. She was friendly and professional. The woman working the night desk was also very friendly and helpful as was the guy on desk duty when I checked out. Some of the room stuff was worn, but it was clean and comfortable. The heater, refrigerator, shower, and internet worked perfectly. Both the shuttle drivers were great."

"Room was fine. Relatively clean. We were only there for a few hours due to an early flight. The Stay and Park was very affordable. The parking is not at the same site but convenient enough. Would consider again"
