Comfort Inn Metro Airport

"No advance notice that the airport shuttle is on a schedule … every half hour. (Shuttle is shared with at least 3 other hotels.) Will make checking in, getting through TSA, and to our gate a very close call."

"Floors were filthy inside. Mud tracked in, carpets on second floor needed vacuuming. Elevators had not been cleaned in sometime. Ceiling in room was peeling near door. Space heater ran off and on, carpets were stained inside our room and worn. At least we had clean towels and bed. I hope. But this Comfort Inn is serviceable as an overnight last resort. The shuttle is a milk run for several hotels and you will wait a long time."

"Falsely advertising jacuzzi tub, first room was messed up from the curtains to the fridge to the TV to the jets on the jacuzzi . The second room wasn't much better. Same issues with tub and fridge. Maintenence said they've never worked since he's worked there. I have everything else besides a jacuzzi tub and it was the sole reason for getting a room for our anniversary and they've messed it up for us. I'm extremely dissatisfied with my stay so much so I asked for a refund. Only got a partial (in check form [whenever they send it to me] because i paid cash) but nonetheless don't waste your time if it's a special time and you just want out of the house."

"This motel is somewhat tired. Staff was doing the best they could, but the computer system was glitchy. We were flying out on vacation and didn't know there was no long term parking allowed. The front desk clerk suggested one parking service. We discovered the Sheridan long term parking was $5.00/ night less expensive. Next time we're in Detroit, we will not be staying here."

"Rooms were less than impressive. Upon first glance, everything looked clean. But, as we were getting settled we looked around and found stains on the curtains, dead bugs on the serving tray for the ice bucket and the tub had a make shift repair- looks like it was damaged previously and they just slapped some water resistant tape over it. Booked one King Bed, and when we checked in all those rooms were apparently taken already. Nothing staff could do obviously so we just took the two queen bed room. Staff was always pleasant so no issues with them. Helped us with new keys when our door decided to not work. And it was every-time we tried to get into the room. Fitness room is small but has up to 50 pound dumbbells and a bench. Just hope you don’t see anyone else in there the same time, you’d be stepping over each other to get a workout in."
