Motel 6 Southgate, MI - Detroit

"Room was disgusting and not clean. Looked like feces or blood smear on the floor. Garbage swept under the bed. Brown water coming out of shower. Neighbour screaming at each other to call police. Aircon not working with outside temperature around -6C."

"I love that there is no smoking. Smokers stink! The rooms are very clean. Even though I cleaned myself to make sure. The 3 office girls are very friendly. Pretty cool actually. The maintenance guy came and fixed the issues I had immediately. Tomorrow is the super bowl..I was worried about my TV not working..but he fixed it. I had issues with the wifi. Good 2 go now. Probably was just my phone acting up. Cheap phone type deal. My son is coming back here with me after church tomorrow for a few hours. I have cartoon channels now. Gas station is Conveniently close. So is McDonald's. Everything is working out great so far. I'm on my 2nd week. Planning to stay for a month or more."

"I would not recommend. This place 100% feels like the motel in Breaking Bad if you know what I mean. Pros T.V, Location*(expressway and restaurants) no bugs. Receptionist was very nice. Bed uncomfortable (like hurt back uncomfortable). I was given towels and 1 bar of soap, that's it. So I'm washing my hands with the same bar of soap I'm using on my... There is no way to tell time in the room. I.e there isn't a clock or alarm clock. It very much reminds me of my college apartment where the bare minimum requirements have been met. Maybe I'm being too hard but *I'm also scared to go outside my room at night. Shower curtain is nasty. They are literally advertising a Dispensary on their key cards. No wonder my room smells like weed. Just go to the comfort in. The breakfast alone would be worth it."

"Pros: Friendly and accommodating staff Large room (King w/microwave and fridge) Great location, next door to McDonald's and Arby's No bugs Cons: The shower did not have much hot water to be able to shower. Floor was a bit dirty Be prepared to pay a $50 room deposit by credit/debit only,refundable 24 hours after check out, from what the reception lady said There are not enough outlets for phones and laptops All in all, it was not too bad, I would return and stay here again."

"Christine was absolutely great! She was so professional, knowledgeable, welcoming, and make check in a breeze. She went out of her way for me and other guests. She was very outgoing with a great sense of humor! She made my day with all of the above said and her jokes, smile, and beautiful face. Most definitely an asset for the motel.
