"I did an online quote. It asked me to go up to the location, so I went to the Howell Michigan location of LA insurance. The unhappy person that works there started off by telling me that she needed to do a brand new quote….. that’s the first part that is ridiculous, I just did the quote online but as she stated, “they have no way to retrieve them.” Then she tells me that I need the titles for my car and the updated registration. To get the updated registration on a car you need to have valid insurance first, she should know this because she works there, but why be good at a job? I’ve never needed to produce a title for my car to get car insurance. It would most likely be because I was trying to exclude PIP because I have my own private insurance and they don’t like it when you do that because they don’t get to charge you three times the amount for their health insurance that you never use. Then I’m told that my Blue Cross blue shield IDs will not be sufficient. She wants a letter from Blue Cross Blue Shield stating that I have Blue Cross Blue Shield and she wanted the insurance information for anybody that could possibly ride in my car. This was the most ridiculous interaction that I’ve ever had. I’m sure that I was talking to somebody with not much knowledge on their job. It was so pathetic. I want to go back up there and give her a lollipop and a helmet."
