"I took my dog in because she was having trouble breathing, blood shot eyes and a large lump in her neck. They took blood work which showed infection but they insisted was not her lymph nodes and that they would need to do exploratory surgery to figure out what the lump is and have it removed. They Prescribed her antibiotics and steroids in the mean time. The following day the lump was almost gone and most of her symptoms so I took her elsewhere for a second opinion because surgery on a lump that is disappearing seemed drastic to me. In the second opinion we found out that she did not need surgery and it was an infection in her lymph nodes and she should clear up just fine with medication. So I’ll give 2 stars for the fact that they got her stable but they misdiagnosed her and almost did a completely unnecessary and invasive exploratory surgery."

"We took our (unbeknownst to us) sick senior cat in a little over two weeks ago. We were seen almost right away and our beloved fur baby was diagnosed immediately. They gave us all the information and knowledge we needed to attempt to save him. Unfortunately our attempt was not successful and we lost him exactly a week later. The entire staff was sincere and compassionate with their condolences. Today we received a beautiful card on the mail. Everyone took the time to write some wonderful words of comfort. Thank you so much ❤️"

"My dog is DEAD at 3 yrs old because they wouldn’t take him in for an emergency!!!! I came to this office three years ago, and I was very happy with the way that they treated a cat that I took in, but today, I’m so very sorry I ever walked into this place. My dog was throwing up a thick, mucus and there was blood in his diarrhea starting Thursday 9-7-23. I called them on the 8th and ask them for an emergency appointment and told him exactly what was going on and they told me there was nothing they could do and couldn’t get him in until the next day. My dog progressively got worse through the day so I called again and told them I thought my dog was dying and was told I’m sorry we can’t see him until tomorrow. I called the next morning and told them my dog was close to death, and please see him a little bit sooner, and they still refused. I tried to run my dog in a little bit earlier than my appointment, because he was obviously showing signs that his life was ending and on the way there my dog died. There is no way that you can tell me that they didn’t have an appointment they could’ve moved to my timeslot and took my dog in rather than him die. I believe my dog had a perforated bowel because he ate something, but they didn’t care. I would stay far from this vets office. I am so angry! My dog was only three years old and he’s dead."

"Sadly, we had to put down our 12 year old cat, and Anchor Bay was great. They were very kind, showed compassion, explained the process, and gave us time to mourn. Price was much cheaper than expected - This place is highly recommended for your fur babies. I am glad I chose to travel to Anchor Bay."
