"I have had many appointments, ER visits, and a surgery. This hospital is great for any and all needs or issues. The nurses are extremely nice and attentive. The specialists and the surgical unit are great as well. Bloodwork never hurts, IV's barely hurt, and the comfort created for you by the nurses helps a lot under any circumstance. I have and always will suggest St. Mary's to anybody that needs a hospital or office in the hospital."

"Portage Offices across from Portage High School on Rt 6: The check-in lady was coughing repeatedly and looked very ill and was not wearing a mask. I was next in line and felt lucky that I got the other check in lady, who was not coughing so. The nurse that took me back to the lab also looked and sounded under the weather when I asked her how she was. She was wearing a mask, and I think the only person back there that was. She gave me no instructions on what to do to with regard to collecting a urine sample, and therefore I did not do it completely correct. She handed me a wrapper that looked to have a hand wipe in it, and it wasn't until I called my doctor's staff the next day was I to learn what I should have done with that wipe. The same nurse took the urine cup from me and mentioned nothing about returning the wipe; gave me no bag to put it in. She was chatting in a hallway with a co-worker when I handed her ONLY the urine cup and said nothing to me. The following day I went on line and viewed the entry for my results and was quite alarmed when I read the incorrect information right at the top of the list of results. It read that I had had a cystoscopy, or was recommending that I needed to have this procedure done. I called my doctor and they said this entry was incorrect. They corrected right then and there and said it could take 2 days to see the change. The following day after the lab work I came down with a severe cold that could only have been obtained at this lab as I had been nowhere all weekend prior to this Monday 8 am lab work. It required an additional doctor visit to get me the proper medications. I'm assuming this lab has relaxed in all the recent rules on hand-washing and mask wearing when possibly feeling ill. I took a home covid test which produced negative. I went from the same cough the check in lady had to all head, sinus, chest cold symptoms. I would hope this note reminds this staff to step it up and not pass along this heavy flu season illness."

"Blood tests always make me nervous. I was unusually calm before hand which is not a good sign as then the experience is worse. And I had been fasting for hours. Needless to say it was nice to not be that nervous and have it go quickly. The woman who took my blood kept me calm it was very quick and I wish I had done all my blood tests at this lab. I always bring a jacket but this lab was nice and warm but not too warm. I’d choose this lab every time if I could! If I went there every time I might stop bringing a stuffed animal to be calm and it would be one less stress. Plus the first results were ready what seemed like instantaneously in under 30 minutes since other labs take days to complete. All around great service and am happy to go back if needed."

"I Would like to thank all the people who work in the emergency room! I have had my wife there 2 times in 6 weeks, the last time on Jan 8th and both times thou they were on by-pass mode do to being over loaded they were very kind and professional to all. A special thanks to Tiffany yesterday with her amazing care to ME and my wife making, me more relaxed with her help and care. THANK YOU to ALL the ER workers including the clean up girl for cleaning up the mess in ER. You all are doing a GREAT job!!! Deon Miller"
