About the Business
The Washtenaw Bar & Grill is a historic institution located at 2955 Packard Street in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Originally founded in 1899 as the Washtenaw Golf Club, it is the third oldest golf course in Michigan. The course features 18 holes of par 72 golf with a length of 6,512 yards from the longest tees.
The founders of the club, Cora Henry, I. Newton Swift, and Daniel L. Quirk Jr., started with just three empty tomato cans in a hay field and eventually transformed it into a private golf club. Over the years, the club has attracted top business, professional, and government leaders from Washtenaw County.
The golf course itself offers a traditional style with narrow tree-lined fairways and well-guarded, quick undulating greens. Accuracy is key on this course, as the importance of precision in your shots can make it difficult to master.
In addition to the golf course, The Washtenaw Bar & Grill offers public dining facilities with a bar and grill, as well as an outdoor patio overlooking the golf course. The banquet facilities include a beautiful Ballroom space with plenty of natural light and a private patio for guests to enjoy, making it the perfect venue for any event.
