"I’ve lived in Kalamazoo County my whole life and I can honestly say Hangar is one of the most underrated bars here. Food: Simple and affordable! With a lot of weekly drink and food specials. One of the only bars in Kalamazoo that has drink specials on weekends. BEST CHICKEN TENDERS IN THE WORLD! And I am a chicken tender connoisseur. Most of their food is simple traditional bar food. But it all tastes great and is cheap. Popcorn is free!! Service: The waitresses are all phenomenal. Very attentive and great customer service. Atmosphere: If you’re looking for something fancy or rowdy this ain’t it. Gave the atmosphere 4 stars. Hangar is a simple and affordable dive bar but can be boring. I think this a great place for people who are past the college bar phase but still want to have a good time out. They have TouchTunes so you can choose your own music. I’ve noticed Country is the Genre of choice for alot of regular's here. They have a lot of TVs for watching games. It’s very clean and in a safe part of town. As a regular, I think it could be fun to have more events/activities every once in a while. Karaoke night, latin night, theme nights and maybe a few bar games."

"My family friends and I just had a meal here, it’s a Friday night so of course expected a bit of a wait but we were immediately warned about the kitchen. We were comfortable waiting, but our 4 burgers did not arrive at our table until after an hour and a half of us sitting there… Our waitress was very kind and apologetic so not a complaint of service but more a forewarning of don’t come in on a weekend expecting to get food in any type of timely matter. My burger was also very bland and over cooked, overall a very disappointing experience especially considering the good reviews.. It seemed like the only people having a good time were drunk."

"When visiting our daughter at Western our family stopped at The Hanger for lunch. We were very happy: Food - Our daughter had a burger which was large, I had the fish tacos, my wife had pizza, my son had the mac n cheese brisket, and our other son had a kid’s cheeseburger. We also ordered an appetizer and drinks. Everything tasted good and was hot. Service - Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Atmosphere - Nice vibe and fun atmosphere. There were some TV’s and video game machines too."
