"The staff has always been helpful and courteous. I recently purchased 3 gallons for projects in my home. I called first and was told there were no promotions running for interior paint but to check websites for $10 off $50+ purchases. I found the coupon and printed out 3 (1 for each gallon which were priced at $75/ gallon). I assumed the coupons would be honored even if each gallon was rung up as a separate transaction. I entered the store and told the gentleman that I was purchasing 3 gallons and I had found the $10 off coupons as someone at their store had suggested. He acknowledged and proceeded to fill my order. When I went to pay I was told I could only use one coupon for the entire purchase. I was confused and explained that was why I mentioned the coupons when I placed the order. He then said he thought I was only going to use one per transaction and that was how the coupons are intended to be used. I then said he could ring up each gallon separately and his reply was ‘no, that is not how the coupon works.’ I politely said I wouldn’t have purchased all three at the same time if that were the case. At this point I could either refuse to purchase and leave them with $225 worth of paint or give in. Finally, the gentleman agreed to honor the coupons this one time and I thanked him repeatedly. It was a very awkward situation for me. I don’t often press employees in situations like this but I feel I was correct. No one ever raised their voice and we both remained cordial, but I feel it went on further then it needed to. The store runs 30% off sales multiple times a year and this coupon is available to to be used when there are no current promotions.Thanks to the employee again."
