"Upon recommendation, we visited this business to browse and found a display I really LOVED in their front office area. I inquired on how to order this most beautiful door lockset I'd ever seen for my new home's front door. The kind lady looked it up and informed me it was discontinued. I was disappointed but there was one right there on display, so I asked to purchase the display item at full price. I was informed the owner never sold display items. I said I understood to be polite but I really did not. That was July 2021. It is now September and I have been searching for this lockset and have found that it is made in Lithuania. Perhaps a difficult item to order and therefore the reason why this company didn't want to deal with it. I have tried to find another company that will sell this to me, or a second hand market listing, but remain unsuccessful. It pains me to think Norwood Hardware might be trashing this item just on principle when I am willing to purchase it. Through my research I have found similar thumblatches on the second hand market and now know this item is quite pricy but I am still willing to buy it if only Norwood Hardware would let me. If it fits my door and you can make a nice profit, why would you not make the sale?? Jan 25 update – I did contact the store as requested in the Company reply and they were graciously able to sell me the Thumblatch as I requested. My Husband bought it for me as a Birthday gift. I'll post a picture of our new front door when I find a company to install our lovely Thumblatch. Many Thanks to the fine folks at Norwood Hardware and I do hope I will have a need to shop at your establishment in the future."
