"Oxford students, do not live here! Or, do... if you like not having hot water for over 8 days when you move in. If you like moving into a filthy apartment covered in human & cat hair, underwear in the washer, and old cat toys laying around! Other things to consider is that 24/7 maintenance is a LIE. Maintenance is only available during office hours, not during Sundays. So if you have an emergency you're on your own. This place is also amazing if you want your packages to be stolen. In the few months I've lived here my packages have been stolen from the main office twice and the staff has blamed me and my roommates rather than reflecting on the fact that leaving their office open without a staff member in site isn't a great idea (I have gone in there to find no staff around more times than I can count)."

"Terrible experience. I’ve been calling and visiting their office since I’ve moved in, my apt was in disgusting condition upon arrival. There was even hair all over the inside of the fridge?! They insist someone will come fix things the same day, yet no one comes. It’s like they have no understanding of what “emergency maintenance” is. I’ve been here for only a week and I already know I’m in for a terrible year here."

"Beautiful apartments for an affordable price. I like how close it is to everything in town. I just signed a lease, keeping my fingers crossed. Seems like such a nice place to stay with very friendly staff and residents. definitely should check it out if you are looking for a nice apartment in town."

"Lived in a two bedroom townhouse, never had any issues. Nice staff, good events and incentives. They have a dedicated cleaner now as well as new maintenance staff and manager. Great location, across the street from both a main bus stop and Kroger. The price is honestly decent for the space you get."

"I have lived at The Commons in a four-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment since this past August. Rent is more affordable than in a lot of other places in Oxford. My apartment is rather small, but you can pay a little more for a unit with more space. In my experience thus far the staff are nice and helpful. They host some little events offering free food, etc. which is nice. I highly recommend having a car if you live here. You get a free parking spot which is nice considering some places require you to purchase one. You can certainly get by without one as there is a bus stop close by. Maintenance requests are typically responded to within a couple of days. Except when we first moved in, which I assume was due to a lot of people submitting requests. Most of the complaints I have are relatively minor. All of our windows are very difficult to open and shut. And I think the carpet should be replaced in most bedrooms. Also, The Wifi randomly goes out for a couple of minutes like once a day. My only other complaint is that the apartment was not clean when we moved in. That was probably the most frustrating thing because we had to wipe almost EVERYTHING down and vacuum all the floors before we could move our stuff in. Overall, If you're looking for really affordable rent I would recommend living here."
