Hawks Landing

"Had a great experience here! My family and I toured the other day and was very impressed by all the facilities and amenities. Very friendly staff as well! Caleb and Mazie explained they were experiencing technical difficulties but still took the time to give us a tour at the drop of the hat. I'm still looking around Oxford, but Mazie sold it well on our tour, and this is certainly at the top of my list."

"I have lived in Hawks Landing for about two years now and I have really enjoyed my time here. in my opinion, hawks landing has the best maintenance team ever! Last week I had a flat tire and they were kind enough to take time out of their day to put my spare on for me! any time I’ve had problems within my apartment they fixed the issue within a day or two. other things I have enjoyed is free, parking the pool and hot tub as well as the volleyball court. With me having these options me and my friends have a lot more things to do over the summer. I highly recommend anybody to live here is a great community not only for college students, but anybody in Oxford looking for an apartment !!"

"As an introvert who has lived here for 6 years: The Pros: it's pretty (& it's close to Hueston Woods), the rent is affordable, access to the U-4, it's (mostly) quiet, the work-out room is fantastic, and the staff is helpful. I don't get the general guff @ the managers in the other reviews: they've always been great in my experience. The Cons: The wifi (wifi calls and video sharing with friends will often buffer, and the wifi will blackout for about 24-36 hours every 2 months in my experience. They were very responsive with giving updates last blackout, but historically that hasn't been the case), I've had my next door neighbors partying into late hours and making it hard for me to sleep, groceries are a bit of a struggle without a car, and I wish there were more events that brought the community together that catered to my interests (grill outs and pool/pizza parties aren't my style: book clubs or board game nights or something would be more my ideal). I've always stuck with Hawks Wifi rather than getting my own router, and I think it's serviceable enough to work (though I do think a change in service provider is in order, perhaps making it work with streaming/gaming should be a focus). The bus is very reliable to getting to campus, but getting back is usually a 15-20 minute walk. I've never been that bothered by it though. On the whole, I don't plan on leaving unless circumstances takes me somewhere else. It's a nice place, and I don't see it reasonably being beat."

"Everyone in the office is super helpful and nice! The amenities are wonderful and the rent includes so many things you wouldn’t think of for how affordable it is. Maintenance is always fast and ready to respond. Overall it is a great place to live!"
