River's Edge Villas

"I resided at River’s Edge for over two years. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. The property manager, Lori Borstelman, was amazing and always willing to help when she could! While moving out, I observed damage to one of my patio chairs. The patio chair was dented and the finish had been removed. I believe a lawn care service employee struck the patio chair with a weedwacker, as I’d observed them strike other objects with their equipment while residing at River’s Edge. I was not surprised to find my patio chair damaged. I immediately notified Ms. Borstelman. Ms. Borstelman stated she would refer the matter to Dennis Noneman. I followed up with Ms. Borstelman several times, but did not receive a resolution until approximately two months later. Ms. Borstelman indicated Mr. Noneman determined Noneman Real Estate Company would issue a $50.00 check for the damage to the patio chair. I expressed my concerns to Ms. Borstelman. I did not believe $50.00 was sufficient to replace a part on an item that retailed between $450.00 to $500.00. The patio set I own had been discontinued. Therefore, the part could not simply be replaced. Ms. Borstelman stated the damage was cosmetic and could be touched up with paint. The finish on the patio chair leg was not paint, nor could I match it perfectly with the other chair legs. I would have to refinish all of the chair legs in order for them to match. I also did not know that I could remove or repair the dent left on the patio chair leg. I found the $50.00 check for the damage to the patio chair to be insulting. I took exceptional care of the villa during my stay. I paid rent on time and did not complain about the amenities that were promised but not provided (gym and a pond view, which I paid an additional $100 for monthly). I reached out to Mr. Noneman several times by telephone and e-mail. Mr. Noneman did not initially return my telephone calls or e-mails. I was able to reach him by telephone a month after he reached his resolution. He told me that $50.00 was sufficient for the cost of material and labor to repair the chair. He did not care that I disagreed and was unwilling to negotiate. With that being said, I would not recommend River’s Edge to others."

"I just moved here. They are not bad places but they could have placed the microwaves and drawers in a better place. They are lined up on the wall that you share with your neighbors. You can hear them shutting and opening each and every cabinet and drawer. You can also here them not only closing their microwave but also you can hear the microwave running. Horrible place to put such loud and commonly used features in a home."
