"New owners bought the accounts receivable when they took over the practice and are now trying to squeeze pennies out of former patients. We haven't been to this place since 2019 and got a bill out of thin air in April. There was no information about what it was for, the date of service, who the patient was, etc. I contacted the office manager and she was comically unhelpful. Rather than answering any of my questions she sent me a statement in the mail with all of our transactions for CY 2019 and told me to figure it out on my own--she clearly had no idea what we owed money for and still doesn't! I found the problem, apparently claims weren't processed correctly by the previous office manager and were never sent to the correct insurance for one patient on my account. The previous practice was in network so we never actually owed them any money other than our copay. We never got a bill for it nor were we informed in the 2 years since. I called the office manager back to discuss and she said it's too late to fix through insurance and we either pay it or go to collections. In summary: we were never even patients of this new company, the previous company had messed something up with our insurance claims but never informed us or billed us for it, 2 years later a new company bought the practice and is incompetently attempting to 'resolve' outstanding bills by bullying people in to paying for unspecified services on unspecified dates. I know all I need to know about Dayton Dental Care based on their rapaciousness through this process. Ironically, their site claims “our staff understands the importance of listening to patients” and that their “personal approach is evident in everything [they] do.” Use at your own risk."
