Jiffy Lube

"Classic scam attempt here. Took it in for a quick oil change, got told my breaks were severely damaged and couldn’t be driven and showed me a “picture” of a rusting apart brown breaks and wheels. I noticed the pic on his phone the pic had been cropped (why crop a picture you just took and not just zoom in? Was my first suspicion). I then called my dad who owns a shop while I was at the counter and got told “we can just do them here, you know we do breaks, we can just do them” while I was on the phone. My dad said he would come down and take a look (he doesn’t live super close). My dad ordered the parts and took off the wheels today only to see zero rust anywhere, perfect condition breaks, etc. NOTHING like the picture I was shown. I had read about this scam many times and find is amusing it was actually tried on me. They keep a stock picture on their phone cropped so you can’t see really what car it is and then pay for the $500 service. Glad something in my gut told me to get a second opinion! Shame on you all- I’m not just a dumb woman coming in the get hosed!"

"I was happy with the $29.99 coupon from Jiffy Lube that was emailed to me. The shop was busy when I went for my oil change, but I still got timely service. The previous place I had my oil changed told me the oil plug needed replaced, but I declined. At Jiffy Lube when I asked if it needed replaced I was told it was in good condition. I appreciate the honesty of the JL crew in not trying to "upsell" unnecessarily. I was very pleased with the service I received!"

"I had a good experience the last time I visited. I had a low oil pressure change oil message and decided it was time. Brought it in, they checked for me right away and it was not urgent. I guess it was oil change day and they did so for about $30.00 total. All good. The wait was fine. They were within the quoted time frame. Generally the cost has been much higher historically it's nice when you have a sale and can get through. I find it odd this was a solicited review that's not why I do these. All in all a good visit."
