"These guys saved the day! They went way above and beyond to get my truck back on the road after having a battery issue. Very knowledgable about the issue and very detailed in making sure I was good to go ... and fast. Keep up the good work and thank you for saving the day!"

"These guys are very professional. I was told I had a bad alternator by another company so they ran a diagnostic and I actually just needed a battery. Car runs tip top. Very nice and they work with you. Highly recommend."

"My floor on the driver’s side has dried mud from someone’s work boots everywhere and they just left it. It even got on the door towards the bottom. And my car has scratches and chipped paint all around. There’s even blue scuff marks on my back bumper that seems like someone backed into something. I just got this car so and there were no scratches all over my vehicle with paint chipped when I bought it and I for sure didn’t back into anything. I even took pictures of my car when I first got it and don’t see a scratch anywhere on it. Not sure who serviced my vehicle but they were careless driving it."

"I've been to the tuffy in perrysburg many times and have had great service. I've since moved and this Tuffy was somewhat on the way home and they could get me in the day I called, so I thought I'd stop here. Not trying to be disrepectful, but they had a very young girl (had to be a teen) behind the desk and answering phone calls who had to go get someone after I called to set up my appointment, and to check in my car. Again not trying to be rude, it was just weird and a mild inconvenience. If this was the only bad thing that happened I would not have brought it up. They got my car in fairly quickly and did get the oil changed in a timely manner. The manager(?) was having little arguments with a few different employees in front of me as I waited too, which was a little uncomfortable. Then they called me up to pay. I figured it'd be about what the other Tuffy charged me considering its a chain. For my small Corolla an oil change was $75 with some weird +$36 discount. I asked the same manager(?) who'd checked me out why my DISCOUNT ADDED to my bill. He said it was actually a discount off the original $99.99 oil change. The system just sticks a + next to it even though the screen shows it in red font indicating a subtraction. Very weird on many levels but whatever. It sort of answered my question but also did not. Looking at the bill closer though, there are conflicting Total Prices everywhere. I don't know if the subtotal should have been $99.99, $69.99, $34.08, or whatever would have lead to the $38.92 grand total in the middle and bottom. Nothing made sense and I WILL NOT RETURN to this Tuffy. Part of this is my fault as I should have asked what an oil change would've cost up front, but as I'd been to other Tuffy's I didn't think itd be that different. Just a bad experience all over."

"Background: We were out of town from Virginia for my father’s funeral when the transmission on our Ford Expedition began having major issues in Ohio. We found this Tuffy location through the RepairPal network that our extended warranty company provides, dropped the vehicle off and rented a car to get to Michigan. The customer service up front was exceptional. They were extremely kind and understanding of the fact that we were out of town for my dad’s funeral. Within a few days, they were able to diagnose that the transmission was damaged beyond repair and would need to be replaced. However, they stated that these transmissions are on backorder through Ford and could potentially take 12-16 weeks to have one available. This was obviously out of their control and was solely a Ford issue. By this time, we realized we would need to keep the rental car and drive it back to Virginia after the funeral. Thankfully, after about 4 weeks, the local Ford Dealership, Brondes, had a remanufactured transmission in stock which Tuffy purchased and installed on our vehicle. I flew back to Ohio shortly afterward to pick it up and drive back to Virginia. The final billed amount was $6,837.73. Unfortunately, our extended warranty only covered $5,159.29 and I had to pay $1,678.44 out-of-pocket. My warranty company said the approved amount should cover the entire cost of the repair; however, Tuffy stated that the cost of the transmission was more than what insurance would approve. The warranty company told me the price did not seem right and that it sounded like a shop markup. However, I was in a vulnerable position and I really didn’t have any other option being from out of town, but to pay it and move on. While driving back to Virginia, the transmission began shifting hard again, so I took it into my local Ford Dealership and they discovered that the previous transmission fault codes were never deleted when the transmission was replaced in Ohio. They charged me $175.00 to fix the codes, so I contacted this Tuffy location to see if they would reimburse me. After three attempts to get to some resolution, one of the managers named Rocky, rudely snapped at me and said “what do you want, a check?” Which I said yes that’s exactly what I am asking. He gave me his email address and said to send him my full mailing address so he could mail a check (which they already had in their system) but I still emailed him anyways. It has been 5 weeks now and I received nothing. To make matters worse, on my original invoice, Tuffy charged me $4,800 for the transmission part and $1,431.70 for labor and I now have the invoice from Brondes Ford Dealership where Tuffy bought my transmission. The invoice shows that Tuffy paid $3,045 for the part and another $1,000 core deposit (which they get back after the other transmission is returned). Not surprisingly, the part markup of $1,755 ($4800 - $3,045), is pretty dang close to the out-of-pocket expense I incurred of $1,678.44 after my warranty company already had paid $5,159.29. I am not sure that this is how they conduct business with the majority of their customers, or if they just took advantage of the difficult spot I was in by being from out of town. Perhaps it was even an oversight on their part…but I think customers should be aware."
