"I would like to comment on a recent encounter with Community Health Care, Dr. Jessica Falvo Lang and her staff, which resulted in my being terminated from the practice. I feel I was treated dismissively and without regard to my health. I suffered a severe UTI (confirmed by excellent staff at Aultman Urgent Care at Washington Square). It came on quickly at the end of the day and I called Community Health Care as soon as I realized something was wrong. I was familiar with the symptoms from previous instances and knew what it was, and that it was severe. In older people UTIs can become so serious that they damage the kidneys or mimic dementia. The person who answered the phone refused to provide a prescription, but offered an appointment the following day. I became irate, because I was in pain and it seemed like just another case of medical CYA. I sought care at Aultman and they confirmed the extent of the infection (REALLY bad) and was prescribed an antibiotic. I have been part of the Community Health Care practice for at least 10 years, and never had any problems with any physician or PA, in fact had cordial relationships. I guess I should have been nicer to the CYA person on the phone who was endangering my health. It may be no loss, however, because some of their physicians are just plain incompetent and/uncaring. Before Falvo-Lang at CHC, I hesitate to use the honorific “doctor”) I went to a different location. That physician there didn't bother to look at my chart and dismissed an abnormal EKG without looking at my history. I have a brain, and therefore deduced that since my mother died at 50 and her father at 60 of heart issues, there might be something going on. The Cleveland Clinic confirmed hypertropic cardiomyopathy."

"This office and physician are the worsta! She was never available for any emergent illnesses. I went 8 days with a sever bladder infection and only got in then because I had a previously scheduled appointment. You can NEVER get through on the phone and her staff is less than interested. I have been around a long time and she is by far one of the very worst doctors I have had to deal with. I want to know how on earth she got a 3.9 star review?"

"I was treated by Dr. Falvo-Lang for the first time today and I was very impressed. She was thorough, compassionate and a very good listener. I feel like I'm in great hands!"

"My first visit was amazing. My previous experience with Dr. offices is that they don't really listen to you, and hear what you have to say. Even if what I say IS irrelevant, I'd like the person I'm speaking to give me the floor for a moment. Everyone at that office, Dr. Falvo Lang included was warm, receptive, and patient. They spent the entire visit really getting to know me, understanding why I was there and how I've been feeling. I have confidence that I will be heard there. My main concerns were addressed, as they pulled blood to test for the things that I had concerns about. Never thought they would take my input so sincerely considering it was my first visit. But they don't mess around!!"

"Do not go to this physician. Based on an insurance company review by Caremark, they sent her a fax stating I wasn't taking my arthritis medication Celebrex as prescribed and would she authorize a change in the quantity. Without reviewing my chart or giving me a phone call, she authorized the change as the insurance company wanted. When confronted with this, her office staff vehemently denied that she changed the prescription amount. Mandy from her staff then insinuated I was a drug seeker. I spent 2 hours and 21 minutes on the phone with Caremark before her office staff called me and said that yes, she did authorize the change. I spoke with Dr. Lang personally and she said she was under NO obligation to inform me before she changed my patient care. Is that the kind of physician you would want? Office staff insulting you and physician that allows insurance companies to dictate your care? Stay away from this Physician. I would give her zero stars but you have to list at least one."
