"On August 31st 2020 I took my 2 year old bear coat Shar Pei here to be groomed for the first time. When I arrived there were three dogs hanging out together behind the counter. When it was time for the groomer to take my boy in the back he went behind the counter with the other dogs and I heard a yelp. Not knowing which dog yelped I peeked over the counter to make sure everything was okay. I couldn’t see anything wrong and the groomer holding his leash had no reaction whatsoever. I left so my boy could be groomed. An hour and a half later I got the call that he was all done and it was time to pick him up. I loaded my Great Pyrenees in the car because his appointment was next since I don’t have a car that can transport both dogs at the same time. When I arrived the groomer who had originally took my Shar Pei gave me back the leash and said very casually “oh by the way that yelp you heard when you were here before, one of the other dogs must have got him”. No apology, straight face. I was in shock my dog got bit in the face while I was still there and nobody bothered to tell me before I left or call me when they noticed something was wrong. They didn’t even tell me over the phone when they called to tell me it was time to pick him up. He was still actively bleeding when they gave him back to me. They let him bleed for an hour and a half while the groomed him. I thought, oh my goodness now what do I do? I have no choice but to leave my Great Pyrenees in their care because I have to get my Shar Pei to the vet. I panicked. I got in the car and called my boyfriend at work to let him know what had happened. He immediately left work to go pick up my Great Pyrenees. We waited at the vet for 2 hours, he had to get five stitches in his face, had to wear an e-collar for 14 days and may have scars on his face for life. Best in show never apologized to me. They never called to see how he was doing. I am glad to have this horrendous incident is behind us but I cannot recommend this business to anyone."
