"I am so glad I got help when I went through an unexpected and stressful experience. My therapist helped me understand how events in my past impacted my present reactions. I uncovered connections I would never have uncovered on my own. I also walked away with tools to use in the future. My experience was entirely positive!"

"Terrible, traumatizing, experience. I have debated how to deal with this for a while. I went to her to deal with PTSD from an assault. She resisted diving in to the EMDR therapy I wanted. She kept pushing me to start taking Xanax first, because she said me crying in therapy was a sign I was "too activated". I pushed it off, I'll take antidepressants, but not sedatives or benzos, shes not even a psychiatrist. Finally one day, I pushed back and said im never taking those meds, she called me argumentative, controling, and other things. I told her this was obviously not working and she yelled at me to get out! She starting cursing at me, i dont mind the language butbthis is my doctor screaming at me. I stormed out and as i got in my car i saw that she actually she followed me outside. 9am on a weekday morning, screaming at me. "F-you! You're ffing crazy!" It was surreal. I of course screamed back, I'm no angel, but I was the patient, she was my doctor. I never went back, demanded my records. She eventually sent me an apology letter - WHICH I KEPT - and will always. I've not trusted a therapist since. I've also learned this behavior of hers isn't unique to me. I'm glad she helped others, but she really hurt me."
