"GEORGE SMITH, LSW This clown of therapist completely forgot me and my wife’s appointment on the very first visit? We waited in their tiny waiting room for 30 minutes for him without even anybody asking a question. After that he offered a free next therapy session. On the next “free” session, the bone head, scheduled a class and told my wife he would be 10 minutes late?! After waiting another 30 unanswered minutes we just left. NEVER HAVE WE BEEN TREATING SO UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT SEE THIS DOPE! AVOID AT ALL COST! Therapist are a dime a dozen and you can get treated better elsewhere!"

Do not go to them if you have issues call your insurance and always fact check with your insurance it’ll save you a headache of what the majority of these reviews are stressing about billing. I would take my past review down but it deserves to stay up after the crisis this place put me through with no help to my mental well being or any concern however."

"Nice at first. Missed a few (excusable) appointments and was charged $50 each. I paid the $150 then they said "Your counselor is no longer accepting your ... as a client." Nice!! My insurance was good-to-go. A year later, I get a bill for $1200 for incorrect insurance. This is a total of 15 visits over 2 months' time. If my insurance didn't go through the 1st or 2nd time, that's when you put a "hey, what's going on?" question to me. Lady who answered didnt like my attitude. I said "Try having a mental health business attempt to collect $1200 a year later and see how you react!" Total farce and sham of a business. Many months later I have contacted the Ohio Attorney General Insurance Fraud division. Serenity is still harassing me with collection threats - though the visits were 100% covered and previously paid for via insurance."

"I met my therapist here, who is terrific and I followed her to her new practice. Having said that, the company itself seems to be poorly run and unprofessional. All the "invoices" I received were a generic Square invoice with no information - no dates, provider, diagnosis or treatment information, costs covered by insurance vs. what I owe... nothing. If you've ever received a medical bill from anywhere, you know what a normal invoice looks like. It looked like a scam. When I asked for more information, the person replied that I should just check my EOB from my insurance company. That's really not an acceptable answer; an EOB from insurance is not the same as an invoice/bill from a provider and it should not be the responsibility of the patient to "figure it out". I read these reviews and saw this was unfortunately pretty common. I paid my invoices, which were all due the same day the invoice received - also unheard of and unprofessional to demand immediate payment. Anyway, I would have raised more of a fuss if I was staying there, but since my therapist is with a new organization, I paid and moved on with my life."

"BEWARE of this poorly run company!! They are incredibly unprofessional, rude, and overcharged me by hundreds of dollars!! Didn’t submit a w-9 form to my insurance company so they could process the sessions, for almost a whole year. Also, didn’t receive a bill from them also for almost a full year. Blamed me for everything, and how is this my fault?? I don’t know of anyone out there that pays on something they don’t receive?? They Suspended my daughter’s counseling for their incompetence. Eventually sent me 2 large bills, which were paid immediately upon receiving. They didn’t like the amount my insurance allowed them to charge, so they overcharged me and now refuse to give me a refund. How many other clients of Serenity are being overcharged also???"
