"Extremely dissatisfied with the level of competence and service at this hotel. My boyfriend and I booked a suite and paid around $600 dollars. A more than reasonable rate for the accommodations I prefer. The hotel had no issue taking payment in full and providing a very detailed description of their policies. Please keep in mind we are traveling here for a wedding as it would not be my vacation destination of choice. Over a week later, he received a call stating the entire hotel was booked and our accommodations would be canceled. Obviously they are providing a refund but this is absolutely unacceptable. As a business in the year 2024, there should be no reason why a website does not reflect current reservation and booking availability. Additionally, the Walden representative said they would “ask the wedding party if they were ok with us staying?” What? That reflects as highly unprofessional. Not only have I worked directly in the hospitality industry on a director level, but also in onboarding of hotel/vacation rental software. In this day and age, there is no excuse for such a discrepancy. Management really should be more privy to the inner workings of their booking process, as to not allow this oversight to occur at what is supposed to be a luxury accommodation. I like to support non-corporate/single owner businesses, but being a smaller or family owned business is not an excuse for unprofessionalism. If for some reason, there was an issue I expect some sort of consolation for the MAJOR inconvenience. No consolation, voucher or anything was offered. The reps response truly lacked the personal touch I expect from not staying at a large chain hotel. The fact that we will now have to rent a car, drive to a suitable accommodation at midnight, thus preventing us from having a cocktail with dinner or at the wedding, is irritating. I feel responsibility and accountability was not taken by the hotel representative. Disappointed by this experience, and that nothing was done to encourage us to ever stay here despite the error on the hotel’s part. In closing buyer beware, their direct booking via the website may not be accurate. Do not get excited for a trip, or have any level of expectation because you may end up sorely disappointed."

"We celebrated my husband's 40th with a night away at Inn Walden. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Everything was amazing - from the staff, service, and room, to the Spa and restaurants. We stayed in the Equestrian suite and enjoyed a huge room with beautiful spa shower, tub and fireplace. The room was clean and welcoming. But it was the little touches and details that we loved the most. We were provided a cheese board, on the house, which we enjoyed in the lovely lobby with cocktails. After returning from dinner (highly recommend The Barn), our room had been turned down with romantic candles burning and a bottle of champagne chilling (again, on the house). In the morning, we found 2 delicious, freshly baked chocolate chip muffins waiting on our door hanger. We also enjoyed the Couples Suite at the spa. We were given a private suite with a hot tub and sauna/shower to enjoy 30 mins before and after our couples massage treatment. The staff was amazing and we wished we would have booked 10 more treatments. We can't wait to book our next stay and will definitely be staying for longer. It's going to become an annual tradition for sure."

I've stayed in some of the world's top hotels including the Shelburne in Dublin and the Broadmore in Colorado and Waldorf Astoria in New York and this is as good as any of those."

"I’ve photographed weddings at Walden Inn numerous times and always had the best experience. Makenna is incredible to work with - she is an expert and makes the entire wedding day a breeze. The venue provides indoor and outdoor locations and lots of areas for guests to mingle. The upgrades this year took this venue to the next level. If offers an endless opportunity of designs and can make any vision come true. The opportunity to take photos with horses is also a dream!"

"Walden is a retreat whether you need a quick weekend recharge or a vacation stay, you will find it all here. The Spa is a way to relax and indulge, the Meadow Room and Barn offer amazing menus and the rooms are beautiful and comforting. My room had a beautiful spa tub with all the amenities. I love everything about Walden."
