"Let me just be completely fair here. So at first meeting with Scott, I was very impressed with the great customer service. He was very personable and likable. Years later after signing the policy and renewing annually, I called into the office and inquired about all the updates I had completed on my home. Too many to mention. I wanted to know what they would need from me as far as documentation went in order to increase the amount of coverage I had on my home. As far as they knew, my roof was about 18 years old and nothing had been updated in the home for over 20+ years. So I was surprised when he told me he would just update everything without even supporting photos. I was fine with any additional costs incurred, just as long as my coverage was going to reflect my property. 2 years after this call, we had really bad storms and my new roof had damage resulting in the need to replace it. I called in and Scott told me even though he remembered our conversation, he couldn’t do anything more than provide coverage that would support a roof that had been installed back in 2001! Even if I could give them photographic evidence that it HAD in fact been replaced with new shingles. Undeniably! After going back and forth with them, I just decided to cancel my policy and learn a good lesson moving forward. Don’t ever take someone’s word of mouth. Everything must be in writing, sadly! If you’re looking for honest, trustworthy people, look elsewhere. They’re professional at nothing more than dodging a claim and pretending to be compassionate, at first anyways."
