"Great food, drinks, service and I love the vibe and decor! However, it was our first time and it was 6 of us and all were hungry, we were told it’s sharable style so we ordered 4-5 small/med plates and 3 large plates. We should have ordered each person a large plate as we only got to sample one bite of each and they were delish! By the time we wanted to order more large plates they said they were out. For 2 people sharable style works but for a large group I would treat it more towards individual dining. Or have every 2 people share. The food comes as it prepares and they tell you that in advance so no surprises. Overall a great experience. I wish I had taken picture of all the plates."
"I would love to give Alea 5 stars but since they kicked us out of our table to make room for the next guests I have to hold onto that last star. Now you may think this is was our table’s fault but it wasn’t. This is a small upscale restaurant that promotes leisurely dining. We had a party of 6 people all arriving on time. Drink were slow to come out but delicious. They deliver food to the table as it was prepared the food was some of the best I’ve had so 5 stars there. One guest at our table ordered a dish that needed 40 minutes to prepare and another ordered a clambake also taking time to prepare. No sooner had we finished our meals and were wiping our mouths when our waitress said i’m sorry we timed this all wrong but the next guest are here for their 8pm reservation and we need this table. That meant no dessert no after dinner drink or coffee. It was disappointing to end a night of planning and celebration in such a hurried fashion! Boooo!!!! All said we will return based on the quality of the food preparation.."
"It was our first time here and we really enjoyed the food. The steak tartare was amazing! We did see many people ordering the grilled oysters so we’ll try it next time. Food took awhile because they were short staffed but it was worth the wait."
