"To start this off pink slipping is the equivalent of kidnapping and needs outlawed in the US. You should never be held against your will especially if you have not commited a crime and are just asking for help/ someone to talk to. They say weekends dont count toward your 72 hours of being pink slipped, which is highly illegal. They'll leave you sitting around for days with nothing to do but think and make your condition worse and leave you uninformed on everything thats going on with you. But hey at least They'll drug you on someone elses medication lmao."

"I was admitted to OHP in the beginning of February 2023 after an attempt. At first it seemed like it would be a decent place but I spent 6 days here and had a different opinion when I left. The techs that watched us weren't terrible but the nurses were pretty awful. The first night I was there they tried to give me medication they had not previously spoke to me about and when I asked what it was the nurse looked at me and said "you take this every day", I just got there that morning. I seen a nurse get frustrated with a patient because he wanted a bandage for a wound he had on his hand, she said "why is it my problem if he had it before he came in." Unbelievable. The cafeteria had mold on the ceilings. The only therapy we did was in the mornings for 45 minutes and it was arts and crafts basically. The woman that led the group sessions was one of the best people there, spoke briefly about coping skills and mindfulness, she's the only reason why I'm giving 2 stars. When I was discharged they didn't really go over anything with me about my diagnosis or medications. Just made me sign the papers. When I called back after I went home I wanted explanations of what they wrote down and no one ever got back to me. My therapist I went back to when I left said she wouldn't recommend this place either, but they did one thing and that was keep me safe from harming myself."

"I Interviewed here a couple months ago. Was offered the position on the spot. I was given instructions on next steps but never heard back as promised. Left several messages over 3 weeks for the head of HR and never received a response. Not even to say we changed our minds or anything. Extremely unprofessional. After reading their reviews I think it’s safe to say that was a bullet dodged."

"Not even using my real name because of how horrible this place was. I was admitted end of March into the beginning of April. I was pink slipped and sent to here a little over 2 hours away because of bed shortages in the surrounding area. Was able to read some reviews before getting sent here, begged and begged to be sent somewhere else even if it had to be a further drive. The intake process consisted of me sitting in a room for over 4 hours without getting told a single thing of what was going on, only given a cup of juice and some fruit snacks. The staff working my unit were absolutely horrible, cussing at patients, refusing to do basically any simple task you would ask of them. The kitchen staff were very nice the food is a somewhat different story. Didn’t have one “group therapy” session the whole time, the only one we had was where we got handed a radio (the nurse threw it down on the table and said here’s your f’ing music therapy). Didn’t speak to an actual therapist the whole time I was in there even though I got told I was going to. The only people I spoke to were nurses, the social worker, and then the dude that was telling me how many thousands of dollars the stay was going to cost me. Very smart idea to make someone stress about a bill when they are still in the hospital. They give you meds to help you “sleep” at night didn’t want to give me the name so I refused to take it. They give you a literal sheet as a blanket and I was freezing cold the 4 nights that I was there. Met a few amazing people who had some amazing stories as far as patients go (the only real people in that place). Luckily my mother made the drive almost every day which was the only thing that kept me sane in that place. I had to fake being better just because I was scared I was going to have to stay there longer. Needless to say this place should get put under some sort of investigation. Nothing about what they do there is humane and shouldn’t be allowed. If you have the option do not go, or send a loved one to this place."
