"The saving grace was the bartender. The food was weird and overpriced for Olive Garden-quality...but most importantly the "call ahead" policy is pretty poorly managed. We called ahead, but the person apparently didn't get our name. We also showed them our "recent calls" list to prove it. The head hostess then gave us an attitude when we asked to wait at the bar. The bar was pretty stuffy and we were forced to either wait a long time or suffer through the bar the whole night. We weren't being accommodated for their clear mistake, and it was awkward to witness the staff speak poorly about customers and sloppily handle everything. They seem pretty disorganized, badly trained, and desperately in the need of proper management. Again, the bartender's kindness saved our experience, but I won't be back. If there were just any other "nicer" Italian restaurant in Oxford, this place would close in a heartbeat. Yikes!"
"The service at Paesanos was really good; the staff were so gracious and accommodating of our large group. The menu had a great and varied selection of wines, spirits, and food. This restaurant is very high-priced and I just didn’t think that the quality of food was worth the price."
