Maid-Rite Sandwich Shoppe

"The food seems to have gone downhill in recent years. So we thought after a bad experience a month ago we would give it another try. What a mistake that 45 minute drive was. The service is some of the worst there is. You can wait in line for 30 minutes only to not be served. We were the fifth vehicle in line with 23 minutes until close. The staff served 4 vehicles in 26 minutes. At 8:03 when we approached the window they had it blocked off with closed signs. Do not punish your customers for your horribly slow service. They serve pre cooked sloppy Joe meat, chips and shakes. Unacceptable service."

"Not a first time visitor to this establishment, but had some of the worst customer service I've ever seen tonight. My girlfriend and I made a trip to pick up some sandwiches tonight as we've done many times before. Knowing the restaurant gets busy and they close at 8, usually shutting down the drive thru line about a half hour before close, we rushed over after work and arrived around 720, the line still not closed! We only had about 6 cars in front of us too, which if you've been there, you know is not an example of their busy hours. We waited and waited and waited, about 40 minutes, to get up to the window. It was closing time, but there were still 4 or 5 cars behind me, as they hadn't shut down the line yet. The car in front of me orders, and at 8 o'clock on the dot, they put a closed sign in the window, with a handful of customers that have been waiting 20-40 minutes. To make things worse, we're now stuck in the driveway as the car in front of us is waiting for their seeming made-to-order food is being prepared, and the cars behind us are not aware that the restaurant is closed. We wait, stuck in the drive thru for 15 minutes after closing, with no food, for the car in front of us to get their food and move out of the way. Very poor customer service from one of my favorites. I understand that things happen, and that we were technically waiting at closing time. After 40 minutes of waiting, the least they could have done is take care of the customers."

"This was a great experience to visit this small restaurant. The food was great, and ordering was easy, and so was the menu. I would definitely come back to this place the next time I'm in the area"

"This place is amazing. A new to me spin on a classic sandwich. The flavor is amazing, have yet to have something I didn't love. It's got the small-town diner feel to me. It's always busy and people come from all over. I was introduced to this fantastic place by a buddy who grew up in Greenville. Now whenever my wife and I are within a 45 minute drive, we are here, no exceptions. I can not recommend this place enough. And an Ice cold Little Kings with a Cheese-rite, my favorite."

"Stopped here on our way back to Columbus from Chicago. Completely worth the detour!! The maid rite is roughly equivalent to a junior hamburger at Wendy's, and two were more than enough for me. They had a nice flavor, with a hint of sweetness in the bun. The meat is high quality and the toppings are balanced. There's a reason there's always a line here. Also, fear not if you don't like to eat in the car! There are PLENTY of picnic tables (and restroom facilities) outside if you arrive after dine in closes at 7."
