"I have over 19 million google contributor views, mostly restaurant reviews. Unfortunately this is a one of two negative reviews I’ve given . I’m a native of Delaware Ohio. I remember when the Hoffman‘s own buns when it was a prestigious restaurant to eat at. Sadly, I had a very bad experience at Buns’s restaurant today. First of all the table was sticky on the top… wow I have no idea how to remedy that except replace the tables. First of all the waitress listed five different things on the menu that they did not have. One of the items was the stuffed flounder ….thats what I was going to order. Ended up ordering a fish sandwich. Ordered at 12:30 PM at 1:15 PM … 45 minutes later a family inquired about our food. The waitress we asked, said she didn’t see any orders in the back. Finally the guys that was seating, people tried to explain what was happening…… “they had run out of the normal fish and had to use a substitute that was much thicker, therefore causing a long cook time.” Long story short at 1:40 … we had been there an hour and 20 minutes we were finally served our fish sandwich. It did not come with the jalapeño poppers or the baked potato I ordered with the sandwich. I looked at deep-fried fish, and it looked overcooked almost black. My wife had ordered the same thing and we both returned our meals. Five minutes later, we decided to leave still had not seen the jalapeño poppers or the baked potato. No one asked if I could be compensated, in any way. Other members in the family had part of their orders still missing… it’s now 1:50 and I’m leaving. I was there earlier in the summer, and it seemed as though they were understaffed. The food was mediocre. Sorry, buns restaurant you might want to take care of keeping items on the menu stocked and keeping the tables clean."

"Went here today around 12:00, the inside wasn't that busy and the staff was friendly, we go seated on the patio and had our orders taken by 12:25. We then waited until 1:38 before our food arrived and it was gross, the food was cheap quality but was expensive, my mom got served raw chicken on her salad! I got two large mystery fish sticks and a pile of freezer fries/fish and chips. And my grandma's tomato soup was alright."

"We went here based on previous good reviews but unfortunately it was not worth the stop. I’ve never felt it necessary to leave a negative review for a restaurant before but I will for Bun’s. First the positive was they were able to seat the 7 of us tonight (a Saturday) even with many reservations. Also the bread was decent- the garlic butter was great - but don’t expect to be able to spread the rock solid butter on the fluffy bread without smushing the bread. My one son had a burger which was just your average burger. Our server was great and attentive. Now the negative. I had chicken tenders (yes from the appetizer menu but I love trying them from different places) and fries. The fries were regular bulk frozen fries and a few of our party had them - no one finished them. The breading on the tenders was very dark and to me seemed burnt though that could be the way they always come. My son had the fish which I tried and seemed like it was also cooked from frozen. Overall the food was very lackluster."

"Our 1st visit after remodeling. Atmosphere is great. Tons of seating. Many booths & booths that seat 6. Covered patio. Our server, Vanessa, was fantastic. I had the Bun Burger. Wife had prime rib sandwhich. Burger was perfect. Prime rib was extremely flavorful. Taking a piece of carrot cake home. We’ll be back!"
