"We visited El Carreton in Greenville, Ohio today for a yearly luncheon with my husband's high school graduation class of 1969. What a fantastic choice of restaurants! I liked El Carreton from first look. The decor was simple but very welcoming. I also enjoyed that the piped-in music was Mexican, which added to the atmosphere. From the start, the staff was very friendly and energetic. We had about 16 people, all paying individually or in small groups. That did not seem to throw our waitress and her helpers in the least. They were all very efficient. I chose the Fundida with steak and chicken, and it was magnificent and came out truly sizzling hot, as did all the meals! It was served with sauteed peppers, tomatoes, and onions and smothered in melted cheese. It came with Mexican rice, lettuce with sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. As if that wasn't enough, it was also served with 3 warm tortillas-- your choice between flour or corn. I HIGHLY recommend this dish. So meaty and satisfying. All the food was delicious and seemingly authentic. What an absolutely great place to dine."
"WOW!! I have found my new favorite place! I ordered the steak enchilada. The tortilla was crispy and buttery, and the steak was well seasoned and very tender. The portions were huge. Wait staff was prompt, courteous, and on point. I will definitely be back!! Well done, thank you!!"

"Portions were plentiful especially considering their prices. The decor inside is welcoming and a unique change from the other local restaurants. Our server did a great job and most importantly our food was delicious! Their birthday dessert is a great way to top a special day. Easily the best Mexican dining experience in the Dayton area."
