"Dining place itself is nice and has plenty of seating options but the food itself is consistently cold by the time you sit down with your plate and almost everyone I know has either gotten sick or food poisoning at least once from eating here. The meat is consistently undercooked, often pink and fatty. Every once in a while there will be an exception of a great entree but it’s not everyday. I feel like I’m playing Russian roulette every time I decide to eat here. Most staff is polite but many of the staff also take their job too seriously and make rude remarks to students if they get in a line wrong or get “too much” food, and other such harmless mistakes. I once got accused of “stealing water” for using my cup to fill up my water bottle"

"I work as a faculty member at BGSU, and I went there for the first time with my colleagues. I had a great experience because the place is nice and being open space all you can eat option is great because you can choose any options you want. I would definitely go there again."

"Spent a week at BGSU this summer, and our meals were taken here each day. Food was okay, but several items were found to be slimy, rotten, or extremely over cooked. Also had an incident where several of the people with us got food poisoning after eating the same item. Majority of the items seem as though it was just frozen food that was reheated in a microwave or deep fried, which is odd for a cafeteria that is supposed to do culinary training. Additionally, service from staff was consistently rude and condescending, and we were treated like we were a massive inconvenience to them. Every question was greeted with a sigh, even simple things like “Can we please have plates to use?” I know dealing with students is a challenge, but when every aspect of your body language communicates condescension, it’s not a good look. The only plus was the environment. The facility is very visually appealing, and the loft dining area presents an interesting experience. Overall, the dining area seemed to be fairly clean, and tables were regularly wiped down after use."
