"I cannot write a review without giving them one star or I would give them ZERO stars. I shipped a $7000 Crate and Barrel sectional from Scottsdale, Arizona to Indianapolis, Indiana in May of 2023. The movers taped the cushions in Scottsdale to the sofa. As a result from sitting in a hot truck for several weeks the cushions have glue on them. When the furniture was delivered they refused to take it to the home in a very upscale subdivision that has movers with big truck weekly. The tail gate was supposedly broken on the moving van and they did not take it down the basement as promised by Zac, my moving Grid sales person. My son and grandson had to go to their location with a truck and unload it. We did have visa refuse to pay the initial $600 deposit, but did have to pay $500 plus to BOTH the pick up and delivery companies. We also were told we had a $10,000 insurance policy. My son (where the sofa was delivered) has been dealing with the insurance company. They have told him each month where he is on the list. He now is told we will receive only $300 in March (it was December). It is illegal to offer insurance and then the insurance company does not have the money to pay. Each month the payment moves to another month. The sectional is torn and left in horrible shape. I have paid over a $1000 to get my destroyed sectional. I am not sure how anyone connected with the Moving Grid company can call themselves a decent human being. It is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with and should not be able to continue to do business. Elizabeth Smith"

"Once they get your stuff, they end up throwing them around all over. They would tell you it's 5 days but later show you a "clause" that would tell you 15 business days. They bring all goods broken, chipped or completely destroyed. I myself am sitting on a pile of rubble which was supposed to be my furniture. Even delicate things like my trophies came over broken. I have had to try to call them from multiple numbers because they would place my calls in the do not pick list. The phone number doesnt even connect. Check out the aftermath of this train wreck of a move if you work with these people. Sadly, I cant go below 1 star or I would have done it for sure My job number: M8432592 EDIT: The response from the owner is only a front to supposedly "address" the situation. They have not come back since the reply and I don't expect them to. DO NOT BELIEVE THESE GUYS!!"

"Furniture was picked up on March 29th, in Tucson, Arizona. Movers told us it would take 1, maybe 2 weeks to arrive in our new location, Grand Rapids, MI. Furniture was actually delivered, 7 weeks from the date it was picked up, on May 17th. In-between that time, was several phone calls from us, asking where our things were and when they would arrive. The people answering the phone were frustrated that we were asking... and finally told us that it's usually 30 'business days' from when they pick it up. (days not including weekends, nor holidays). We were called a couple of times, being told our stuff was leaving Las Vegas (why was it there??) and would arrive in a couple of days... then called back after 4-5 days, to say it was about to leave and would take 1-2 weeks. Finally arrived around 3 weeks after that last phone call. We booked with the Moving Grid (company #1), had movers from another company pick our stuff up (Company #2), our stuff was moved/stored somewhere (Company #3), someone from some company called us a few times to say it would be delivered within a few days/weeks (Company #4, possibly? or maybe from one of these previous companies) and then driven out to us and delivered (Company #5). The communication between those companies wasn't good. We got the feeling, when we'd call, that they honestly had no idea where our stuff was or who had it. The movers who picked up our things did an excellent job adding cushions/padding/wrapping and packing up our things - they gave more care and concern to our items than we were expecting. The guys who delivered were careful... but told us that the company where they picked things up, actually packed their truck, so they'd not seen our things until they arrived at our location. That in-between company poked a 6" hole on the top of one piece of furniture (it had been packed by the movers with padding, wrapped and taped... but when it arrived, there was no padding and a hole in it). Also, some of our boxes/bins had been destroyed and lots of files/papers tossed in another container to deliver. Most of our boxes/bins were very worn and not sturdy by the time they arrived. No call/communication about these damages. When we were booking, we described the pickup place and drop off place (both apartment complexes), asking how we could know if there was enough room for an 18-wheeler to get in, so we wouldn't be charged extra if the guys had to walk our stuff further than expected, etc. The Moving Grid lady talked with us, assuring us our locations would work. When the final movers arrived, they called to say the didn't think they could get their truck into our complex. We discusses options with them. They told us it would be really expensive for them to walk our stuff to our apartment and how much they'd be required to charge. They, very kindly, waited for us to rent a uhual truck, drive it over and they unloaded our stuff from their truck into our uhaual truck. Then we drove the uhual to our apartment, unloaded everything and carried it in. We'd been told we had quite a bit of flexibility as to when we could have our things delivered... but the guys delivering, had several deliveries before ours and after ours... they would arrive when they arrived, and we just needed to be ready (on a work day, which my husband ended up having to take off last minute) The price was cheaper than renting a moving truck and it was nice to not have to drive the moving truck. So, we saved money. But when we booked, we were under the impression that our stuff arrived so quickly, that it may beat us to our new location, so we packed accordingly (assuming we'd be without pots/pans/dishes, clothes/beds/etc for a few days to a week or so... definitely did not expect 7 weeks.) The communication was bad enough and infrequent enough, that we had just started to assume we would never receive our stuff, the day before a scheduling service called to say the movers would drop off between 9-noon. When they arrived between 2-4pm or so, we were grateful to have our things."

"They will completely lie to you to make the sale! Every question I asked, the rep lied about the answer even when they were specific questions on the contract. Plus, they are a broker which I understood, but they will just give you a very low price and then when the movers come the price will be much higher. Because they were a broker I did prepare for a slight price swing, but I gave them a complete inventory list of what everything would be, the original agreed upon price was $1800, the movers came and told me $3500. Thats over a 51% difference! The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because the people on call the night this was all happening was very nice and responsive. Plus, the moving company they used was really nice. But if this was a rating on just the sales rep, which I am going to be nice and not say his name, it would be zero stars. I am in sales, but I do not think you need to lie to make the sale."

"Excellent movers! I found The Moving Grid through an online search, even though they are a newer moving broker, my trust wasn't misplaced AT ALL....Literally...One Call.. .THAT'S ALL!! They superseded my expectations. Rigo and his crew were fast, highly professional, courteous and did a major job moving my large household items from Las Vegas, Nevada to West Palm Beach, FL. Tyler and Kyle were our moving coordinators and they assisted from the initial contact through the entire process. The Moving Grid has been incredibly professional and systematic. The moving estimate was reasonable, everyone we had contact with had been very professional, the moving crew was very careful, kind, and helpful. We moved out of state with zero damage and within a reasonable time and competitive price. So, this business has proved to be perfectly reliable at every contact point. I can now see that good reviews are genuinely true for this business and they have certainly earned my good words! I would definitely recommend this company for any mov ing needs. One piece of advice...ALWAYS be honest about your inventory upfront, No mater what, The Moving Grid will be your eyes and ears and assure you aren't Nickle and dimed. Nikki in the Quality Assurance and Shana in the Customer Support were also very great at communicating throughout my move and answering questions as they arose. These guys can match the best in the business hands down and they were the best out of the three companies I've worked with in the past (Complete horror story!!) I have hired two previous companies and both broke things but not this company.!!! If you want to hire the best, hire The Moving Grid and ask for Tyler or Kyle! They will help you set up the initial estimate and its smooth sailing from there!!!!"
