"Took my Niner into Chainwheel Drive in Palm Harbor because of a loose cassette. They kept my bike two days and charged me $15 to tell me that I needed to get a new thru-axle and end caps, but told me I needed to order the parts and they would install them for me.Told me the axle was "stripped" and it wasn't working properly. Did not one thing to fix it nor did they tell me any other things were wrong.I took my bike directly to UBC, was greeted by a friendly worker, then directed back to an enthusiastic and friendlier service shop. They took my bike, assured me they would fix it, and made me feel like they TRULY enjoyed their work- unlike the miserable people at Chainwheel. Picked my bike up and was told no thru-axle was needed, it was fine, the problem were the hub bearings, which they happily replaced and did all the parts/labor for under 90 bucks. Cassette is good to go, and the bike shifts like a champ. No thru axle needed to be replaced. No end caps needed replacement. UBC has my business from this day forward. It's a good 40 minute drive from my house, but I'd rather make that drive to be greeted by people who know their work, love their work, and enjoy helping fellow mountain bikers...as opposed to a shop where I feel like I am being a trouble and am not worth their time and effort. Chainwheel better step up their game, because I am also going to buying my future bikes from UBC...gave them a lot of past business (totaling 5 bikes), but they are off my list now. Thank you, all the people at UBC for truly being service-oriented and having a true passion for bikes. You guys are awesome."
