"All of these horrible unsafe living conditions and yet no one has taken legal action… I am baffled to say the least."

"Been living here for 5 years. I'm still waiting to someone come and fix my windows. I can't open some of them because they're screwed, others are broke down to the point a theft fit in them, also my air conditioning escape thru the windows making my bill higher in this freaking heat. My bathroom is still with holes where termites comes out and no one show up to fix them. I had to deal with mold and roaches in the past. I called to the maintenance office but nothing happens. The pool is been close by the city for over 3 years!! The laundry room just have 2 dryers where one of them you need to dry twice to have a completely dry clothes also 3 washer were one of them is broken, the other one doesn't spin well all the water. I'm just doing everything I can to resolve my issues. This days to move in is over $4,500. And for getting my deposit back it would be impossible, because I heard other tenants who never got their deposit back. Is sad how in a good area this people have this building like a guetto place. Also they're so desperate to rent that people who are moving here are lousy with music up to 4 am, people always fighting and laundering around the parking at late hours. Also people here have pets and let them pee in the entrance and there's poop everywhere.(stinks)... I'm just praying to win a scratch ticket prize or find a way to reunite $5,000 to move out...."

"If i could give 0 stars, i would. Roaches inside the appartment EVERY DAY, no managing at all, dirty and unusefull pool and public spaces. If you live in floor 1, you will hear everything from your neigbor above, more when they love being dragging furniture and screaming untill 1am. And after you finally go, prepare to hunt the owner during 2 months to have your deposit back, because they have no intention to do so! Obviosly, a super bad experience in this place."

"As a state certified general building contractor with over 15 years of experience in commercial construction, post - construction inspections and storm - damage evaluations, we have never encountered such unprofessional / lack-luster attitudes from upper-level management. Nor such a blatant attempt by upper-level management to gloss over, and conceal, illegal construction activity and unsafe living conditions throughout their apartment community. Within twenty-four (24) hours after hurricane Irma, we were hired by our client to perform a home inspection that revealed a significant amount WATER intrusion, RAW SEWAGE intrusion, the presence of MOLD, as well as personal property damage due to the storm; and the response from management, as well as their repair personnel was less than acceptable. Their lack of reply to our evaluation, as well as their lack of concern to our client's parlous living conditions, lead us to investigate their history with the Health Department and Building Division of Hollywood, Florida. Upon which, we found NO open permits for the construction work we observed during our site visit. The illegal construction activity we witnessed consisted of: air conditioning change-outs, interior demolition and remodeling...as well as the use of the community dumpster for disposal of construction debris. We questioned a gentleman named Eduardo (non-English speaking handyman), as well as a gentleman named Joseph (who presented himself as the property manager), and he vehemently denied any illegal construction activity taking place on the property. Our client has since relocated, and is in the process of following through on several complaints with state regulatory agencies. Any hopes of recovering their deposit will be a challenge, since this complex specializes in verbal contracts (which can be a challenge to prove should a disagreement arise). Although it is our recommendation that Hollywood Park Apartments should be deemed unsafe, we advise that you exercise full due diligence prior to considering tenancy. ____________ The digital images posted, feature: an air conditioning unit being installed without a permit, window screens screwed onto window frames (preventing escape during a fire), a demolished shower pan and concrete discarded in the community dumpster, improper air conditioning (window unit) installed as an in-wall unit, water intrusion at windows and floors, several gallons of water collected in containers AFTER hurricane Irma."

"The property manager/land lord Freddy is a real piece of work. Never replaced or repaired anything. Not even when the neighbors plumbing leaked and our ceiling caved in. STAY AWAY!"
