"I have been here for just over 2 months and very happy with the unit, building being kept clean and all staff from leasing to maintenance. The apartment’s layout actually gives more living space than my last condo which was 100 sf bigger. Great location , quiet building and lots of natural light."

"Pros: - The Vendome is located in an excellent location. You are walking distance to Hyde Park Village, Bayshore Blvd, and SoHo. You are only a short drive to the rest of South Tampa. - The unit is nice, and features a large kitchen and bedroom, which is unique for a one bedroom apartment. - Maintenance does their best to address maintenance requests quickly. Cons: - You will hear everything from all of our neighbors. If you live on the bottom floor, you will hear every step from your upstairs neighbor. Quiet is not an option. - Roaches, bugs, water leaks, and mold were a problem for several residents. - Old building with no amenities while being charged market price of buildings with first-class amenities. - Street parking can be annoying during busy times. Overall, I would recommend living in a newer building in the same general location."

"Upon touring the Vendome, the location seemed amazing the apartment seemed nice enough. Boy was I wrong. Upon moving into the Vendome, I had constant issues with termites, ants, roaches, broken AC units, and water damage. After a professional was sent to look at my AC units, they were deemed to have been installed incorrectly and leaking all over the walls in the apartment. They never truly blowed cool air, and forced me to bring in a floor/window unit to make the apartment a comfortable temperature. I can't begin to tell you the expenses that went into my termite/ant/roach battle. After monthly visits from Local by Laramar's contracted exterminators, the problems were not subsiding. I was forced to bring in my own professional exterminators to bandage the infestations. While the infestations never truly subsided, I have to credit Local by Laramar for at least tenting the building during my time at the Vendome. Even after tenting, I still dealt with ongoing termite frass. Not a safe environment for children or pets to be in whatsoever. The ants were a whole other problem, costing me a lot of wasted food or dog food that they managed to break into if left on the counter or floor. Aside from the issues in my unit, Local by Laramar was Airbnb renting a unit directly below me. Personally, I prefer to feel safe and secure in my building, but the influx of strangers in the Airbnb compromised that. I had countless conversations with guests in the Airbnb asking them to please turn down the music, quit banging on the walls, and stop letting their kids scream all hours of the night. The whole experience of living at the Vendome was one big disappointment. I credit the manager, Amy, for doing the best bandaging she could, but it truly is an unlivable building. DO NOT LIVE HERE."

"The Vendome is a gorgeous vintage building that has been recently renovated. It's on Jetton Ave, which is a historic street in Hyde Park Tampa, steps from Bayshore Blvd and Hyde Park Village. The manager Amy, is truly wonderful. The Vendome is a special place to live for sure."
