"I really like their rental home service. All of their rental homes and condos are great. Even though that some were destroyed by Ian. They still have really great service!!! We have stayed at a house called “White Pelican” for decades and loved it!! We also stayed at a house called “Halemakai”. We also loved it. We will be going to Captiva in March and staying at a new vacation home!! If you are looking for a great vacation rental. This is the right spot!! :)"

"From the moment we walked into the house on Captiva Island, it was apparent how poorly Royal Shell had mismanaged it. They did not provide enough of the necessities, particularly we were only provided with a few toiletries, for a party of 16. The house was poorly cleaned and a sink faucet in one of the bathrooms came loose upon first use. On the night of July 6th, we got quite a bit of rain from Elsa. I and a couple family members were sleeping in a bedroom detached away from the rest of the house. We all woke up around 4 am and realized that the entire room was filled with a couple of inches of water. We had to quickly gather all our belongings, and trudge through the almost knee-deep water to get to the main part of the house. Upon our arrival, we found the lower level of the house also under inches of water. It was a great effort for everyone to get brings all their bags and items upstairs. Because we were 16 people, losing the lower level of the house severely affected the rest of our stay. Not only did we have to avoid the area, but we also had to crowd in the dry rooms. For the next 4 nights (more than half of our stay), we had to sleep on the floor. Royal Shell had told us that they would provide mattresses, but we never got them. Sleeping on the floor resulted in very poor sleep and back pain. From this point onwards, it was no longer a vacation anymore. Naturally, we requested a proportionate refund from Royal Shell, however, they only gave us a small one. We later contacted Royal Shell to get a larger refund and were told that they would get back to us. A week passed, and we did not hear back from them. We reached out again and they said the same thing. It's now been two weeks and we have heard nothing. I am appalled at how unprofessional Royal Shell is, and will never make the mistake of booking a property with them ever again."

"We've been vacationing in Sanibel and Captiva on and off for almost 20 years. Often we've rented through Royal Shell and they've always been outstanding. Our most recent trip in August 2018 was cut short due to the Red Tide and we decided we would leave our beautiful home on Captiva 9 days early. When I called Royal Shell to discuss the refund options the staff were very helpful and suggested I stop by one of their offices. On arrival at the Captiva office I was met by a young man who knew I was coming and quickly sought the manager. She (Megan) had already contacted the owner who graciously agreed to refund us any days we did not stay no questions asked. This type of service is why I would recommend Royal Shell Vacations if you're headed to Sanibel or Captiva. We're sad to leave and sad for the islands and all of the gulf coast that is suffering due to the red tide, but having a business understand and work with its customers is very reassuring. They made a difficult decision more manageable, for which I am very grateful."

"We rented a home on Captiva Island in May, 2018. From the beginning of the home selection process the staff were very helpful. We arrived after 9:00pm and went directly to the office on Periwinkle Way to retrieve the house keys. The hot tub decided to stop working one afternoon, so I called Royal Shell and left a message. Before I knew it there was a maintenance guy outside fixing the hot tub. A name I feel compelled to mention is Mark Sinibaldi. He is beyond awesome. He strives to make the renters happy and satisfied. Thanks again Mark for all of your help and understanding."
