The Beck at Hidden River

"I was the first resident in my building in 2020 and have renewed my lease for a 4th year. This apartment is a hidden gem in Tampa! They have reasonable rent, excellent amenities and gorgeous apartments. They have hosted numerous fun events including food trucks, painting with a twist, horse drawn carriages for Christmas and many more! The beck is also situated right on lettuce lake park and has amazing views of the park and a ton of walking/running trails. Being only 20 minutes from downtown this is an excellent choice for a place to call home. I am excited to renew my lease for another year and stay at this beautiful complex!"

"I encountered numerous issues that made my stay incredibly frustrating, and I would strongly advise against living there again. 1. Dirty hallways: The cleanliness of the hallways was appalling. They were consistently dirty and unkempt. It seemed as though the new management had neglected this aspect entirely. The lack of cleanliness created an unpleasant atmosphere and made coming home a dreadful experience. 2. Dirty elevator: Another area that suffered greatly under the new management was the elevator. It was consistently dirty and showed signs of poor maintenance. It appeared as though no effort was made to keep it clean or ensure its proper functioning. This was not only unsightly but also a potential safety hazard. 3. Poor management response to repair complaints: Despite reporting these problems promptly, the management took more than a week to respond. The delay in addressing these concerns severely impacted my quality of life and made me feel ignored and neglected. It is disheartening to see such a drastic decline in the quality of living conditions. I had higher expectations when I initially moved in, but unfortunately, they were not met. The unclean hallways, neglected elevator, and lackadaisical attitude towards repair complaints have left a lasting negative impression on me. Given my experience, I cannot recommend this apartment complex to anyone."

"Just moved here a month ago and had to write this review because this apartment complex is so awesome! It’s so peaceful & the nature surrounding the property is beautiful and quiet. But more than anything, Carly went above & beyond to help us find the perfect apartment. I have lived in apartments for many years and this is the first complex where the staff does a walk through with you on move in day to be sure everything is suitable then gives you a handy folder with references and a calendar of events for the month. Also, the maintenance here is top notch! Specifically, Angel has been so helpful and friendly. Definitely not like other apartments where they get upset with you for putting a maintenance order in! I noticed there was not a pet disposal station near the front of my building & mentioned it to Angel and less than 24 hours later, he was installing one! We would highly recommend these apartments. If you have any complaints at all, Carly & the other staff will jump to accommodate your wishes. Best apartments I’ve lived at in years!!"

"Unfortunately, this complex is no longer “luxury”. I was living here for about 10 months when a new management company took over and unfortunately it has has just gone completely downhill. Unfortunately I had already resigned my lease before the change of hands. The building hallways are disgusting - the floors are dirty and are covered in garbage spills and dirt. The garbage cans by the pool and grill area don’t get emptied and are often filled up for days without anyone touching them. The carpet in the gym area hasn’t been touched with a vacuum in who knows how long. Not to mention, there are never any wipes left to clean equipment nor is there ever hand sanitizer available. Fogelman, who took over the complex should be ashamed! I used to be proud and happy about where I lived but it’s just embarrassing now. If you’re expecting luxury go elsewhere because this isn’t it. I miss the old management and staff - they were excellent. Of note, we used to see maintenance staff regularly doing projects around the community to keep it looking nice and I haven’t seen anyone do anything since new management took over."
