Cortona South Tampa

"Our experience living here has, overall, been positive. A few things to note, both good and bad: - Useless gate: In the entire time we’ve been here, the gate has been operational for maybe a few weeks. There is no communication from management on why the gate is broken and when it will be fixed. (I do believe they mentioned it once, but they took zero responsibly and blamed a slow vendor) I’ve never lived at a place that has had such issues keeping a gate working. Sometimes only 1 side will be working, so they'll keep the other side closed, which forces cars to drive into incoming traffic. Not sure how this setup makes sense. My hunch is that Cortona sourced the cheapest gate opener they could find and has been neglecting the gate since the complex opened. My previous residence gave detailed progress updates when their gate failed once. Here, they aren’t bothered to let you know. Residents are left in the dark. I consider this a safety issue, especially considering the multiple POLICE CHASES/ARRESTS I’ve seen within the complex. - Useless clubhouse: The clubhouse is basically useless because it is only open when the leasing office is open. This differs from every other place I’ve lived at, where the clubhouse is open 24/7 for residents. Essentially, there is no clubhouse. There is only a leasing office with a bunch of couches and tables for show. - No issues with the pool. It is well maintained. - It would be nice if the back trail behind the pond was paved. - As others have noted, the fridges are not full size, so there’s a weird gap between the cabinets and the fridge. Seems like a cost cutting measure. - The appliances, while new and superficially stainless steel, are not luxury. They’re the cheapest on the market, I’ve looked them up. - Our unit was perfectly clean and had no odor. - leasing staff were very helpful and professional during the move in process. - FEES: For prospective residents, ask leasing about the fees. Get them to list out all the fees you'll have to pay. The list is significantly longer than any other place I've lived at. From my understanding, the complex was bought by private equity a few years ago and they're trying to get as much money from residents as possible now."

"I just moved in approximately 2 months ago and the experience has been amazing. The rental process from beginning to end was seamless. The staff is great, friendly and attentive to the needs of all tenants and guests alike. Pet friendly for sure which I love. I haven't used the pool yet but it's awesome and of course the gym is great as well. if you're looking for an upper scale and safe community, visit Cortona South Tampa, you'll be glad you did!"

"The property is well kept by the maintenance, including indoor halls being vacuumed and elevators being cleaned routinely. The best part of my experience living here has been the outstanding service provided by Ashley, the property manager. Her dedication and prompt resolution of major concerns has made my experience as a resident truly exceptional. She is super professional and committed to acknowledging resident concerns and going above and beyond to help. Highly recommended based on this treatment!"

"Absolutely love this place and the amenities. Most of all the location is easy to access everywhere in the city. Been living here for more than a year now. Loved the spacious bedroom layout, attached garage and turfed backyard. Easy access to the dog park, walking trails and my dog loves it here.. Leasing office staff are awesome, helped with the issues right away."
