Florida Vacation Rentals by Vacasa

"I rented an apartment for a five-day stay. Upon our late-night arrival on the first day, we promptly stored all our groceries in the refrigerator before retiring for the night. However, the following morning, we discovered that the refrigerator was not functioning properly, as everything inside remained at ambient temperature. I promptly reported the issue to VACASA, and they dispatched two individuals to inspect the situation. It was confirmed that the refrigerator was indeed not operational. Despite my insistence for a swift resolution, it took the entirety of the day for them to send another service technician, who arrived at 6 PM. After an hour of work, he advised us to wait six hours to assess if the repairs were successful. By the morning of the third day, it was evident that the refrigerator was still malfunctioning. In the afternoon, I received a call from the Reallocation Department, offering us an alternative apartment. However, this option proved to be smaller than our original rental and unsuitable for our needs. Subsequently, they proposed two houses located far from our current location. Meanwhile, I noticed on their website that there were other available options closer to our current position. Throughout this ordeal, we have encountered significant delays in response times and a notable lack of willingness to promptly address the issue at hand. Consequently, we have been inconvenienced by the necessity to dine out for all our meals due to the absence of proper refrigeration facilities. Furthermore, we have incurred losses as all the groceries we purchased have spoiled."

"If I could rate them lower, I would. We left some clothes by mistake in a dress drawer. We asked Vacasa to check for them three times. Our clothes were never "found". While they went into the unit, they proceeded to charge us for stains on the carpet and a chair that were clearly there for months, if not years. Anyone with a brain can tell when a stain is new or not. ALL of the stains we were accused of doing were clearly not new. Vacasa not only didn't find a entire drawer full of clothes, but proceeded to charge us over $100 extra dollars for cleaning stains we didn't have any part in. If Vacasa actually inspected their units like they should after every use, this wouldn't be a problem. We are owners of a short term rental on Airbnb. We inspect the space before EVERY guest checks in to avoid problems like this. Vacasa in Destin is a terrible property management company. If they are managing the property you're looking at renting, STAY AWAY."

"We own a 9 bedroom home (Windsor Mansion - Windsor at Westside Resort) in the Orlando Florida area that is managed by Vacasa. We could not be happier. The place is always clean and well maintained. We personally stay there often and have very high expectations that are always met. Vacasa is easy to reach and will do what it takes to make sure your vacation is a great one. This is reflected by all the positive reviews on our home."

"We own a condo at Sterling Reef, #501 managed by Vacasa. We are very happy with Vacasa. Every time we go there, it is always clean. We are very happy with the customer service we receive from Vacasa. The site manager, Jimmy Kelly, is always attentive & responsive. I would not hesitate to use Vacasa for your next Panama City Beach getaway or any other vacation spot."

"We went through Vacasa to book our rental at Ocean Reef (A202). Believe all of the reviews that state they do not care about their customers nor the conditions of the condo. Our condo had appeared clean on the surface but needs a thorough cleaning. They did send someone out to clean off the fans but that was it. The unit is poorly cared for (broken screens, screen frame bent, black spots all over ceiling, etc.). We contacted them several times regarding cockroaches and heard nothing. We have since returned from vacation and are still waiting to hear from the office manager. The beds are truly uncomfortable, even for the kids. One of the mattresses kept falling through due to a broken box spring. The patio was a wreck. Vacasa is a terrible company with careless staff. I’m surprised people allow them to manage their units."
