Obee's Soup-Salad-Subs

"This was my first time in an Obee's. I wasn't sure if this particular one located on Venice Island was even open as it appeared from the outside to be closed. I tried the door, and it was open, so I walked in. Once inside, the atmosphere wasn't very exciting. It seemed like it wasn't sure what it wanted to be, a bare-bones sit-down eatery or something else. The online ordering lists chili, but when I tried to order it, I was told the online ordering isn't up to date and they don't offer chili and never have, maybe other Obee's did... huh? The link I used is tied to this physical location, so I'm not sure I buy that explanation. Anyway, the Italian sandwiches I got were to go, and it was okay, not great but passable. The point is that I don't have much faith in a place that doesn't even care about it's online ordering even when brought to their attention, and if they don't care about that, what else do they not care about. I don't think I'll be back to this particular Obee's. I may try the other I know of."

"Wow wow wow! Obee’s surpasses any sub shop you’ll ever visit! They have fresh cuts of meat and cheese with traditional and quality toppings! I can’t recommend their spicy italian enough, but you MUST get their homemade dressing on the side! I hope to always swing by here to get a sandwich to-go before hitting the beach! Very reasonably priced 8 and 16 inch subs too! Great, happy crew as well!"

"Whether you call it a sub, hoagie or grinder, there is one important element to a sandwich that will make or break it, and that is the bread. Regardless of the ingredients used for the sandwich, if the bread is of good quality meaning texture, flavor and consistency, the bread will determine the overall quality of the sandwich. Obee's has the science of good bread locked-down, we ordered the Spicy Italian and the regular Italian and both were amazing. The whole sandwich had fresh ingredients and well portioned meats and vegetables. Flavor was great and service was excellent. Obee's is the local place to go get a good meal at an affordable price. They have a great drink and chips selection as well. When in Venice, Obee's will be our a go-to sandwich shop."

"Amazing prices. Delicious sandwiches!! We love the crab salad sandwich. They also sell the crab salad to go in 8oz or 12oz container. The cookies are amazing. The bread is soooooo soft!"

"As a longtime fan of Jersey Mike's, color me super impressed! Very friendly staff. I got the Italian, and just wow. First time I've had an Italian sandwich that I like better than Jersey Mike's (if only slightly). My aunt got a seafood salad wrap, loved it! She said the broccoli cheddar soup was also very good. I will be back!!"
