"I was a new patient on Jan. 17, 2024. I have gone to the same dentist previously every 6 months for cleaning and annual care, with no major dental problems. I went to Smile Design for the first time in January because it was an in-network provider for my new Liberty Dental Insurance policy provided by Freedom Health. They did not clean my teeth there, instead they did an evaluation (it was painful, jabbing a probe between my gums and teeth to push it further and result in a higher measurement to justify deep cleaning) and said I had up to 5 pockets of periodontal disease and would need deep cleaning at the cost of $991! I got a second opinion in February from my former dentist Victorian Dental who confirmed I had no periodontal disease and the total cost for cleaning and exam there was $160. I have reported Smile Design Dentisry to my insurance carrier for suspected fraud. Avoid this place!"
