"Purchased balcony sofa set, and scheduled delivery. After waiting almost a week, and clearing delivery with the building, City Furniture arrived 5 minutes before building cutoff time for deliveries. I open my door to see a City Furniture guy holding a pillow and asking me to sign. No sofa set! I ask where it is, he laughs, calls another delivery guy and they joke around before telling me they don’t have the sofa. Then ask me again am I sure I didn’t just have a pillow delivered?!! Seriously? Who does that? Then customer service calls to verify delivery and the guy hangs up on him. We get reconnected and I was told it would be another week after my company arrives before they can re-deliver, AND that there are NO more dates they can after that 1 date… So, being super annoyed, I nicely asked for them to cancel my order and refund my money back. I was told they can’t with this department and to call the store. I call the store and get jerked around by an automated menu, and agent who couldn’t understand the situation. The agent who sold me the phone left her cell number on the invoice, so I called it, and got a “this is not a working number” message. I call the store again, and they said ONLY the agent who sold the furniture can issued a refund. NOBODY else. (Are you kidding me??). Then they said, it could take 1-2 business days (today is Thursday), to be contacted before processing a refund. And then, it can take up to another 5-7 business days to see it back on my card. This has been the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had buying furniture, and also returning an item. Unbelievable. I’m giving 1 star because I can’t give 0."
